GASR Lyrics

The way you touch my face
will never take her place here
Deep in thoughts rearranged.
I yeam for something deviant.
She liked to send me motivational tapes.
And you women taste like nothing compared to her
I warp inside my face, I find myself alone in words.
Deep ingrown, isolate, I yearn for something deviant.
She says "I'm lonely." She says "I can't forget your face."
She says "It's nothing." She says this everytime we speak.
I want to be there. I want to fix everything.
But I can't do anything except listen to motivational tapes.
Her voice is like something from the dead.
You'll never satisfy me.
You women smell like nothing.
You'll never satisfy me.
You women smell like nothing.
You'll never satisfy me.
You women taste like nothing.
The lyrics to GASR's song Private seem to paint a picture of a complicated relationship. The singer seems to be haunted by thoughts of a woman from their past, and they can't seem to shake her off. The way their current partner touches their face is not enough to make them forget about the other woman. The singer longs for something different or deviant, and it's possible that this is what attracts them to their current partner. However, they still can't help but compare the new partner to the old one, who seems to have had a profound impact on them.
The lyrics about the motivational tapes are intriguing. It's not entirely clear who sent the singer the tapes or what they contain, but it's safe to assume that they serve as a source of comfort or inspiration. Perhaps the woman from the past sent them, and the singer is replaying them in an attempt to feel close to her again. The reference to the voice being "like something from the dead" suggests that the tapes may be recordings of someone who is no longer alive. It's possible that this woman died, and the singer is struggling to move on from the loss.
The repetition of the lines about women never satisfying or tasting like nothing is interesting. It's not clear if the singer is specifically referring to their partner or women in general. It's possible that they are projecting their issues onto all women, or they have a particular issue with the women in their life. Overall, the lyrics to Private suggest a complicated and emotionally charged situation.
