Prior to their official debut as GOT7, members Jaebeom and Jinyoung debuted as a special project unit entitled JJ Project in May of 2012. Additionally, four of the remaining five members of the group appeared on the September 6, 2013 episode of MNET's reality-survival program WIN: Who Is Next, where they competed against trainees from rival company YG Entertainment. Their appearance on the show gained the group many fans among netizens.
The group released their debut mini-album Got It? on January 20, 2014. The group made their first comeback in June that same year with the release of their second mini-album GOT♡, featuring the lead single "A". In October of 2014 the group ventured into the Japanese market with the release of their debut Japanese-language single AROUND THE WORLD.
The group released their first full-length studio album Identify in December of 2014, lead by the title track "하지 하지마 (Stop stop it)".

Heads up! April 4 is going to be last day of GOT7 promoting Never Ever. I hope we all learned a lot from this comeback and work harder during their next comeback. Although we didn't get a 5th win, we have achieved a lot. Despite all the odds were against us, we made it. I believe their next comeback is going to be a big hit (I can just feel it, y'know?)
To all ahgases we were pissed, hurt, betrayed by their fellow ahgases for voting another group, I hope you'll realized that it's okay. Although online votes do make a difference, digital sales still make up for most of the point. So next comeback, let's try to step up our digitals sales ok? :)
