Anger
GROUNDBREAKING Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm back again
I lost myself well that's okay I'll find the end
I clench my teeth in my sleep
Here at twenty fucking three
I still don't know what's wrong with me
Here's to another year of empathy
But everything I've thrown at it
It swallows it all down
I punch the walls and scream at them
But they keep closing in
Well nothing seems to work so then
I give up getting out
I quit
Do you believe in destiny
Do you believe in fate
This is not pop
This is not hip hop
This is not dance
This is not electro rock
This is not the type of song to make your heart drop
It's just a temporary fix to make the pain stop
Oh no
I'm back again
I lost myself well that's okay I'll find the end
I clench my teeth in my sleep
Here at twenty fucking three
I still don't know what's wrong with me
Here's to another year of being me
So can you break me out
So can you set me free
So can I save myself
So can I take back me
I need a little help
I am not what you see
I'm locked inside myself
And I don't have a key
And I don't have a key
And I don't have a key
And I don't have a key
And I don't have a key
And I don't have a key
And I don't have a key
And I don't have a key
And I don't have a key
Can you break me out
The song "Anger" by GROUNDBREAKING explores the intense internal struggle of the singer who seems to be fighting against something inexplicable within himself. The opening verse, "Oh no, I'm back again. I lost myself, well that's okay I'll find the end," indicates that this is a recurring battle that keeps coming back, and the singer is determined to eventually overcome it. The line, "I clench my teeth in my sleep, here at twenty fucking three. I still don't know what's wrong with me," shows that the singer is struggling with something deep-rooted within himself that even he cannot understand. He is frustrated and angry, as indicated in the lines, "Thought of burning everything, I try to make it drown. But everything I've thrown at it, it swallows it all down. I punch the walls and scream at them, but they keep closing in."
The pre-chorus of the song, "Do you believe in destiny? Do you believe in fate?," asks a poignant question, indicating that the singer is looking for answers and a way out. The chorus, "This is not pop. This is not hip hop. This is not dance. This is not electro rock. This is not the type of song to make your heart drop. It's just a temporary fix to make the pain stop," suggests that the singer is disillusioned with the world around him, and he is frustrated by the lack of support he is receiving. In the final verse, he seems to ask for help and acceptance, "So can you break me out? So can you set me free? So can I save myself? So can I take back me? I need a little help. I am not what you see. I'm locked inside myself, and I don't have a key."
In conclusion, "Anger" is a powerful and introspective song that speaks to the internal battles that many individuals face in their lives. It's a song that captures the frustration, anger, and desperation that they feel when they are unable to overcome the obstacles that they face.

It sounds like he's talking about how you get stuck in going one way to find your self and start to get angry that you feel alone when facing an obstacle by yourself then starting to ask for help or some one to show you a brighter way to find your self

People may criticize your voice, but I think it's the best part of your music, Groundbreaking. The passion in it is much more than something in anyone else's.
