Repentance
Gable Price and Friends Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Never could move the stars
Can't budge the milky way
When the lights are gone
And my friends move on
You love me

I built my kingdom high
A babel of modern day
I lost the throne I built on my own
You loved me just the same

This is my repentance
I'm sorry, I love you, I'm coming home
This is my repentance
I'm sorry, I love you, I'm coming home

Give me the grace to die
Commencing the dawn of day
No higher truth or fading youth
Can move me like you do

This is my repentance
I'm sorry, I love you, I'm coming home
This is my repentance
I'm sorry, I love you, I'm coming home

I built my kingdom
It collapsed at my feet
I nurtured my idols
They betrayed me
And I saw you standing on my prodigal street mouthing "I love you", my boy
When the stars all fade on my golden road
And my income fails to carry me home
I see you standing with your finest robe
Saying I love you
When Every Idol fails to comfort me
And my own skin and bones is stripped off of me
I'm gonna look at the holder of eternity and scream I love you

This is my repentance
I'm sorry, I love you, I'm coming home

This is my repentance
I'm sorry, I love you, I'm coming home

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Repentance" by Gable Price and Friends express the singer's heartfelt remorse for the mistakes he made in his life and his desire to make amends with the person he loves. At the beginning of the song, the singer acknowledges his own insignificance in the grand scheme of things. He compares himself to the stars and the milky way, which are immutable and unmovable. However, he finds solace in the fact that his loved one is always there for him, even when his friends have moved on.

Then the song goes on to describe the singer's own downfall. He built his own "babel" or kingdom, which eventually collapsed at his feet. He put his faith in idols and false gods, which betrayed him. But through all of this, he realizes that his one true love has never left him. The chorus of the song is the singer's repentance, where he apologizes for his mistakes and promises to come back home.

The third verse of the song speaks to the singer's acceptance of his own mortality. He asks for the grace to die and welcomes the dawn of a new day. He realizes that there is no higher truth or fading youth that can move him like his loved one. The final verse of the song is an expression of the singer's love for his creator. He knows that when all else fails, he can turn to the holder of eternity and scream "I love you."

@@jonatanandgarthochoa4855 Welcome to The Great Deception “The Tale of Two Messiahs: Jesus Christ and Yahusha Ha’Mashiach”

Satan is a liar and the father of Lies. The Christian Jesus is the replica, the replacement, or the facsimile. Yahusha is the Truth of YAH. John 3:16-17 “For YAH so loved the world, that He gave his Yachiyd, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For YAH sent not his Yachiyd into the world to condemn the world; that through Him they might be saved. He that believes on Him is not condemned; but he that believes not is condemned already, because he had not believed in the name of the Yachiyd of Yahuah.” Yachiyd means “Soul, Spirit, As One.” Christian Jesus came for everyone, while Yahusha strictly came for the Lost Sheep of Israel (Israel is a people, not a country). People dont know who they are and why theyre here. Mathew 15:24 “But He answered and said, ‘I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel.’” Christian Jesus says, “Love the world!” And the world loves Jesus. Yahusha does not ever say this. John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, I have chosen you out of the world, therefore all the world hates you.” James 4:4 “You men and women that are breakers of wedlock, know you not that the friendship with the world is enmity with Yahuah? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is an enemy of YAH.” 1st John 2:15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Christian Jesus teaches, “Love them all! Accept them, no matter what!” Yahusha said, “Love your brethren.” Christian Jesus was crucified on a cross, a Roman cross. All sacrifices must be made on an altar. A cross is not an altar. Yahusha was hung from an almond tree on the Mount of Olives, the Eternal Altar of YAH. Acts 5:30 “The Elohim of our fathers raised up Yahushua, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.” Acts 13:29 “And when they had fulfilled all that was written of Him, they took Him down from the tree, and laid Him in the Sepulcher.” Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, while Yahusha became the sacrificial lamb for the Lost Children of Israel. Yahusha became the Melchizedekian High Priest, doing away with the Levitical priesthood (pastors & preachers), animal sacrifice, and tithing. Christian Jesus is a light-skinned man with blue eyes. Yahusha was a dark-skinned man from the tribe of Judah, with hair of wool and feet like unto burnt brass. Christian Jesus came to bring love, forgiveness, and peace. Yahusha came to bring a sword. Matthew 10:34-36 “Think not that I have come to send peace on Earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother-in-law.” Christian Jesus came in his own name. Yahusha came in the Fathers Name. John 5:43 “I am come in my Fathers name, and you received me not. If another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.” Christian Jesus says worship him. Yahusha says worship the Father. Luke 4:8 “And Yahusha answered and said unto him, ‘Get behind me Satan, for it is written you shall worship Yahuah Elohayka, and Him only shalt you serve.’”

Christian Jesus says he is God. Yahusha is the Logos of the Father: His physical representation. The human body cannot contain the full essence of the Almighty, it’s simply impossible. Yahusha was the physical representation of the Father. For as Scripture says: no human can see YAH and live. For those King James readers, it says “Son.” In true Hebrew, it's Yachiyd (Soul, Spirit, As One).
Exodus 33:20 “And He said, ‘You cannot see My face, for there shall be no man see Me and live.’”
John 1:18 “No man has seen YAH at any time; the Yachiyd, which is in the bosom of the father; He has declared
Him.”
Christian Jesus said, “I have come to abolish the Law.” Yahusha came not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it. Christian Jesus says that you don't have to obey the commandments. Yahusha says to keep all the commandments!
Matthew 5:17-18 “Think not that I am come to destroy the Torah or the prophets; I am not come to destroy, but fulfill. For Amein, I say unto you: until heaven and Earth pass away, not one yod or tittle shall be passed from the Torah, until all be fulfilled.”
Yahusha came to fulfill the scriptures about Him, from the prophets.
Matthew 27:35 “And they crucified Him, and parted His garments casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, ‘They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture they cast lots.’”
Christian Jesus says to come to him for everything. Yahusha says, “Ask the Father in My Name.”
John 16:23 “And in that day you shall ask Me nothing, Amien, Amien, I say unto you, whatever you shall ask the
Father in My Name, He will give it to you.”
And when John had first preached before his coming the emotion of repentance to all people of Israel. Christian Jesus calls everyone, for everyone gets saved. Yahusha picks whom He picks.
John 15:16 “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever you ask of the Father, in My Name He shall give it to you.”
Jesus is the Christian God, and broad is the road that leads to destruction. Yahusha said:
Matthew 7:13 “Enter in at the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction,
and many there be which go in there at.”
Christianity is the largest religion in the world, a part of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is the Beast, and the Christian Church is the whore which rides the Beast. Yahusha is the true Messiah. Jesus is Satan, Nimrod, Helios, Santa, Lucifer, Apollo, Zeus, and so on.
Welcome to the Great Deception
I know from experience that this letter will be rejected by 95-98% of those who read it...if they even take time to read it.
Yahusha is the physical Word. He is Truth.

I love that this song captures the essential nature of repentance, which is relational restoration rather than recommitment to performance. I also love that the song was recorded in the cold weather. Just brilliant. It gives the lament a real sense of presence: lost in the cold, longing to go home to King Jesus where there is warmth, nourishment, safety, and love.
