This work has been orchestrated but the duo-piano version is far more charming, I think. This is an example of the very best composing possible.

Greg Capaldini

Wonderful! A couple spots are a tad faster than I expected, but the occasional imitative counterpoint (end of i, middles of iii & v) is made clear without making any individual notes excessively pointed. Both as a performance and as an approachable example of Fauré's advanced harmonies, this is an object lesson, and greatly appreciated.

Bartje Bartmans

It seems to me though that they had not enough recording time, some strange mistakes were not corrected, very unusual for Collard.

Vazir Mukhtar

@Bartje Bartmans I'm reminded of a remark attributed to Artur Schnabel but probably apocryphal: "If we wanted a note-performance we could have a piano roll perform; what we want is for you [a student] to make music." So here; if one can hear an occasional mistake, so be it. The overall result is music, and that's what this listener wants to hear.

Bartje Bartmans

@Vazir Mukhtar Sure, works for me. Mine was just an observation, nothing more, nothing less.

Susan Baldwin

The way you displayed the music images makes it real easy to read along, thereby playing with ease. Thanks for this video.

Evan Waggerman

Such a beautiful piece of music with illustrious highs and lows

Emmanuel Brossard

So light and airy, wonderful interpretation!

Geweldig als altijd!
