The part where you are selfish in everything you do.
Imagine what I'm feeling and what this does to me.
You have got me feeling that you don't care for me.
I don't feel that on your mind.
It's how you make me feel.
I don't think you understand.
You haven't taken time.
You and I, we cannot survive,
When one of us is trying and one is in denial.
If you stop believing, then baby let me know.
And I won't try to stop you, I will let you go.
I wish that you would listen to what I have to say.
I am trying to save us, so don't you walk away.
I don't feel that on your mind.
It's how you make me feel.
Um, oh oh oh.
It's give and take when you try to get it right.
I don't think you understand.
You haven't taken time.
You and I we cannot survive,
When one of us is trying and one is in denial.
I don't think you know me.
Give a little away too late.
I don't think I ask too much, but still you hesitate.
I want back the old days times we didn't fight.
Right now things ain't working out, I want to get it right.
But it's
It's give and take when you try to get it right.
I don't think you understand.
You haven't taken time.
You and I we cannot survive,
When one of us is trying and one is in denial.
In Gabrielle's "Give and Take," the singer describes feeling neglected by their partner. They reveal that their partner has been showing a selfish side of themselves, making the singer feel like they don't care. The singer acknowledges their efforts to make the relationship work, but points out that it can only be successful when both parties are willing to try.
The lyrics suggest that the singer feels like they are the only one putting effort into the relationship, and they're frustrated that their partner is not reciprocating. They ask their partner to listen to them and to take the necessary steps to save their relationship. The singer is aware that it's not just about what they can give, but it's also about their partner's willingness to meet them halfway.
The chorus emphasizes the give and take nature of relationships, highlighting that it takes both parties to make it work. The repeated refrain, "I don't think you understand," suggests that there is a lack of communication between the couple. Ultimately, the singer is willing to let go if their partner isn't willing to change or put in the necessary effort.

on Tumbling Down
Tumbling Down is more about those countries that are in conflict with, like wars.
Gabrielle is telling us that all of us are the same, regardless of from what country we came from, whatever our racial origins were, whatever language we speak.
She was asking, the world leaders who were the masterminds of the chaos between nations, when to stop. Will they stop when it is already too late? When thousands of humanities were already lost by these senseless killings? When no one is left?
She begs to stop these wars between countries before it was too late to perceive.
She was asking if everyone have died, will they have felt that they eon the battle?
In conclusion, this song is all about the wars going on around 5he globe, like now in Israel and Palestine, etc.
Discovered this song last Oct.7,2023 ,when Hama's attacked Israel.
But,I'm Pro Palestine because Israel is taking revenge,Israel is unbecoming now as a country. With thousands of innocent Palestinian died with their bómbings, esp.children and women,I am not going to buy their alibis and being biased.
