As for Fairy-Types even though they're immune to Dragon moves, I still need to be careful by Dragon-Types too. they still can learn Poison moves and Steel moves like Poison Jab, and Iron Tail. I taught Garchomp Poison Jab and Hydreigon Flash Cannon. The only Fairy-Types I use are Gardevoir and Sylveon. Im going to transfer my Togekiss in my Y soon.

So here's an interesting fact, the clock above the gym actually has thirteen numbers, and it points to thirteen, which is located at the top of the clock. This is a reference to the Witching Hour, or Devil's Hour. It's said that the Witching Hour is when spirits of the dead are at their most active (relating to Route 14, which has what seem to be eroded tombstones scattered about, making me think that it was once a graveyard, a Hex Maniac who refers to her past life, wild Haunter everywhere, and of course the Scary House). Not only that, but this hour is also said to be the time that the human world and the Faerie world intertwine (known in that context as the 13th Hour), which explains the Fairy type gym. That's so cool, and it kinda makes me think that at this point in time, the faeries combat the vengeful spirits to protect humans from their wrath.

Im glad they added Fairy-Types in Gen VI. Dragon-Type Pokemon was wildly overpowered in Gen V. I couldn't really find any Pokemon that can take them down. Using Dragon-Type Pokemon was too risky, Ice-Type had piss poor resistances and Dragon type can learn Fire, Rock, Steel, or Fighting moves to take them down. Steel is the only type that is resistant against Dragon-Type but Dragon-Types can learn Fire, and Ground moves to take them down.
