I absolutely love how Brennan is at guiding new players. It's not easy. I am a new player and tried playing with a friend group. Our friend really wanted us all to get into it, but he gave no guidance and seemed angry at what we all tried, but we weren't being outrageous. We were getting silver weapons because we realized we needed them and he was trying to make it impossible because he didn't want us to have them and wanted us to talk to a specific person, but wouldn't tell us that. He didn't limit what races people could choose from and then made it so certain party members stood out so much we couldn't get things done.

It was so frustrating because he had moments that were great, but those moments were all part of the narrative.

It would have been nice to have someone who explained everything so well and so patiently. Also, this cast is amazing! I love them all so much! They are so fun!

I’m not part of the drag community, so this is based on nothing but the idea presented by that quote; maybe drag can be whatever we would choose to wear if we weren’t expected to follow certain social or cultural conventions about clothing. Like hey, if you want to wear ornate robes every so often, or as much as possible, simply because you can and it feels right, then that’s your drag.

Not to derail the conversation, but it also reminds me of a point I’d thought of regarding Christians, and their often prudish nature about the human body. What was the first sign the Bible says that their God recognized that Adam and Eve had sinned? It was that they’d covered their bodies. According to their book, their God wanted us to be naked, and humans continue to defy this by wearing clothes. 😆

I’m almost done with the last episode and I really cannot thank the D20 team enough for this. The season truly couldn’t have been recorded and released at better times in history and you are doing the community and world at large an incredible service. Brennan embraced the queens so earnestly and all of the queens excelled at jumping into the world. I would love to see them all back for another season. I also wouldn’t mind seeing a show a la Vox Machina based on this season, with the cast returning to voice 👀

This is the first dnd campaign i’ve ever seen, but i can just tell this was fucking incredible and special. That dungeon master has a gift! Loved the way he weaved all their jokes into the story seamlessly and answered their questions while keeping the pace. The queens where hilarious and their different energies where so fun. Alaska was paying attention honey and Bob was into it!

Dungeons and Drag Queens could be it's own free standing spinoff series (specifically with Brennan as the Game Master of course)! You have stumbled on an amazing combination!
I came across a few shorts which were funny but I never expected to like this so much that I literally consumed the entire 2 hour episode in one sitting. I absolutely would have kept right on watching had the rest been readily available. I'm definitely going to track down the rest regardless of what paywall they are behind, which is something I almost never do!
So entertaining!
