Just the other night at a hometown football game

My wife and I ran into my old high school flame

When I introduced my old flame to my wife, I started reminiscing about our past

Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Sometimes I'm grateful that God didn't answer my prayers the way I wanted them to be answered

When my old flame walked away, I looked at my wife

And then and there I thanked the good Lord
At that moment, I thanked God

For the gifts in my life
For the blessings in my life, including my wife
