Brooks was a phenomenal musical force in the 1990s. He had his chart breakthrough in 1989, having come apparently from nowhere, and was an immediate commercial success. Lacking the tall and lanky physical appearance typical of some male country stars, he successfully integrated pop and rock elements into his recordings and live performances. He soon began to dominate the country singles and country albums charts and quickly crossed over into the mainstream pop arena, selling records like no one else in country music ever had and exposing country music to a larger audience than previously thought possible.
Brooks enjoyed one of the most successful careers in popular music history, with over 70 hit singles and 15 charted albums to his credit and over 115 million albums sold in the US alone, breaking records for both sales and concert attendance throughout the 1990s. Possibly dissatisfied and looking to expand his career boundaries, he then attempted an artistically ambitious (but uncompleted) multimedia project involving a fictitious alter ego.
Troubled by the conflicts between career and family, the year after the decade ended Garth Brooks announced his retirement from recording and performing, thereby disappearing from the music world as suddenly as he had come.
Recently he has announced his return to live performances by agreeing to a 5 year 15 show a year contract in Vegas. His plan is to finish this contract, write some new stuff, and wait for his youngest daughter to go off to school, and then he plans to return to touring with his wife.

May not know by lookin' at me
Who you're looking at exactly
Wonder who could that be in your stockin'
Suit of red and cheeks of cherry
Lookin' extraordinary
Spare me cause you scare with your gawkin'
Pick up your jaws
Call me Claus, hoah
I got the spirit of the season in me
Spreadin' joy and toys a'plenty
Nimbly down your chimney I'll be bumpin'
Give me room 'cause I'm a packin'
Only time for toys and snackin'
Love to stay here yackin'
But I'm humpin'
I got a cause
No time to pause
They call me Claus
Hoah, call me Santa
Call me Kringle
Call me Old Saint Nick
All those have a beautiful ring
Pleasin' is the reason
And the season's a kick
When your Santa
Baby, you gotta swing
Swing, I dare ya, yeah
Hey, call me Santa
Call me Kringle
Call me Old Saint Nick
All those have a beautiful ring
Pleasin' is the reason
And the season's a kick
When you Santa
Baby, you gotta swing
So while in your jammies sleepin'
Roof to roof I'll be a leapin'
Quickly if your creepin' for a peepin'
The oohs and aahs
Are all because
They call me Claus
Hold your applause
Hey, watch the paws
They call me Claus
Garth Brooks's song "The Call" is an upbeat, festive tune that celebrates the Christmas season through the persona of Santa Claus. The lyrics describe Santa's character, with his signature red suit and cherubic cheeks, as he prepares to deliver toys to children on Christmas Eve. The lyrics also acknowledge the joy and pleasure that the holiday brings, as well as the hard work and dedication required to deliver on this magical night.
The overarching theme of the song is that Santa Claus is not just a fictitious character but rather the embodiment of the spirit of the season, bringing happiness and goodwill to all. The lyrics implore listeners to call him by many names, including Santa Claus, Kringle, and Old Saint Nick, as long as the sentiment is sincere. The repetition of the phrase "call me" underscores Santa's desire to bring joy to others and his joy in fulfilling this role.
Throughout the song, Santa's various actions are described, including his packing of toys and snacks, his leaping from roof to roof, and his "humping" to keep up with the busy schedule of gift-giving. The chorus encourages listeners to embrace the festive spirit of the season and swing along with Santa Claus in his celebratory mood.

@ChezMcVey
Judging by the quality, this person recorded this with their phone while watching the show.
@godcandy777
That's silly. It's from the DVD that was included in a box set. A full, professional recording of the Wynn show.
@virginiatrailcameravideos
And apparently ran around switching seats and locations.....it's from the DVD. Garth, the master salesman, I am pretty sure did not allow phones to record during his concert so he could later sell DVDs of it.
