Gary Glitter - I didn't know i loved you (Till I saw you Rock N Roll)

Standing in the corner at the dance last night
I was almost leaving when you came in sight
You were dancing to the beat
Man, my head was spinning when I saw your feat

I didn't know I loved you, till I saw you Rock N Roll
I didn't know I loved you, till I saw you Rock N Roll
I didn't know I loved you, till I saw you Rock N Roll
I didn't know I loved you, till I saw you Rock N Roll

You're my inspiration, you're my hearts desire
You really set me Rocking, set my soul on fire
Now I'm gonna spend my life
Rockin' and a rolling if you'll be my wife

I didn't know I loved you, till I saw you Rock N Roll
I didn't know I loved you, till I saw you Rock N Roll
I didn't know I loved you, till I saw you Rock N Roll
I didn't know I loved you, till I saw you Rock N Roll

Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey..........

Having 2 drummers and 2 drum sets playing the same heavy beat to fatten the drum sound was genius....its what makes this song and Rock & Roll Pt 1 & 2 sound so great.

And the slapback claps over the doubled snares sounds huge even though the drums are mixed bone dry.

Gary was a heck of a musician, songwriter, and entertainer. Too bad he threw it all away. But the music will always great.

He was a magician too! One time I sat on his lap and he showed me both hands with their thumbs up but I could still feel his thumb sticking up between my legs!

His music really touched me!

I don't feel at all bad about listening to his music - the man, the music, two separate things in my book. This music (Glam and also Punk Rock) was a HUGE part of my teenage years and I ain't re-writing my history or pretending it never happened, it's just a crying shame he turned out to be what he is. We never hear his stuff on the radio these days, not even his mega Christmas hit which IMHO is one of the best Christmas records ever made. How long until the mood softens and we hear GG on radio once again!!
