Just to expand on my point, the way fortnite SHOULD HAVE made this season is:
1.Vault the frenzy and sniper
2.Make a new similar shotgun to frenzy (aka new shotgun they added) but a bit less strong
3.Make a new similar weapon to sniper but not 1 shot weapon (the DMR)
4.Make a good SMG (new SMG they made, assuming its better than hyper)
End result?
Two main viable loadouts:
New DMR, New shotgun, New AR
New DMR, Pump shotgun, New SMG

But they just had to mess it up again

Your probably right but it's a good thing. Especially for the average players like me. Means a lot of swears die quickly. Also remember, jump on them after early damage with a shotty and no medallions will save them

Plus the siphon medallion doesn't help you during 1 on 1 fights, so it's arguably the worst of the 4 for solos. @@illlllsmoke

I was really hoping for a meta change. The Pump/Spray with a hitscan AR was much more fun to me for fighting, I’m pretty bummed it’s still auto shotty and sniper.

I don’t plan on playing this season I honestly can go without playing a season had to peak seasons back to back they added fun mobility map never dried out mid season because it was just that good and the content proves it I never seen anyone with skill having fun or enjoying the meta

We'll all have to wait and see, but as somebody who's always been better from afar than in close fights, I'm really curious to see how the Huntress DMR will fit into the meta with the Reaper Snipe still in. I think it may fill a role similar to the Enforcer of "take it if you find it, but drop it for the Sniper if you find that". I just find it hard to believe that any DMR, even with their higher fire rates, are going to complete with something that can send you back to the lobby before you can blink

Obviously we wont know until it launches, but if the Hand Cannon is exactly how it was before Chapter 5, it might be a very high tier weapon or at least a great anti-meta weapon, as it being hitscan with extremely high headshot damage and even solid body shots could be a good way to screw with the Reaper. Of course if someone is good enough with it then they can just headshot you to middle earth anyway, but unless it ends up not hitscan its something to think about

I ran a frenzy and a sniper with heals and two modes of mobility and lived it. That being said, I like when the meta changes and you have to figure out your new style each season. Wish that had taken them out

I wouldn’t care if they added a different shotgun or sniper, but I liked when new seasons had new guns & forced us to learn a new playstyle. Now S2 is gonna be a repeat of S1. The only exception is that people will probably run the pistol or burst smg over the new ARs

They’ve been busted all season and never received a nerf that actually made other guns more viable. You know a gun is OP when people are running green frenzy’s over peters pump and green snipers of mythic ARs

I feel like the gatekeeper shotgun is almost like a hybrid between pump and frenzy. You do kind of have to be perfect with it, but you have a little more of a chance to counter a frenzy sprayer.

Also did I miss if they changed damage or fire rate of reaper or frenzy? I like them in the game, but wouldn’t mind a bit of a balance

Whats the point adding new weapons like a new shotgun, a new "long range semi sniper AR" aka DMR, if you don't vault the OP shotgun and sniper from last season, the new fresh weapons which is always exciting to have (new weapons in new season) will just simply not be used... and the weapons we used for freaking 3 months non stop will keep being the staple loadout... da heck??? That makes no sense to me.

@@alenx5455 agreed. They haven’t allowed any changes by not vaulting the problematic weapons and those weapons are so forgiving and op that you’re at a major disadvantage without them.

Another couple of months of everyone dropping the same guns upon death and the only difference being the rarity of the weapons 😞

I’m excited for the new ar but sad they dropped the striker. I loved the thermal dmr when it was here, but I can’t stand slow fire rates so I don’t think I’ll like the new one lol
