Also, if you send it to the camp (even while you are in the UD), it is destroyed. However, if you travel to the camp while in the UD, it is NOT destroyed.

Bottom line, it's only use is while you are under ;-)

Worth mentioning that the Mundane Chest is pretty special. You can throw loot in there and it will turn the loot into lower weight items, so you can send all your loot to this chest. Then you remove the stuff when at a vendor and sell it all.

Used 1 Sussur Bloom for the Arcane Tower and sent the other 4 back to camp. Back at camp, opened the blooms, they turned to withered petals. That allowed them to stack. Then I split the stack of 4 into singles and all but one of the petals turned back into blooms. But they've lost the magic debuff. They're currently decorating the campsite.

Has anyone tried to attack Antie Ethel in her Teahouse with a Sussur Bloom nearby? That might keep her from casting spells and zipping away to her lair. Forcing her to stand and fight, as well as being subject to opportunity attacks, could make that fight much easier.

Silence works on her just fine. Just stack it Hunger of Hadar for difficult terrain so she stays there long enough. Plant Growth would work too but she is cunning enough to use her fire bombs to burn it away and then exit the silence bubble.

Just remember that NPCs cannot initiate dialogue while silenced.

I've been playing with my friend in co-op, and after we found those flowers, I sent them to camp. And all of them were fine, the chest was producing anti magic aura. We used this on couple of encounters in act 2. To my surprise in my second solo playthrough all of the flowers were dead. Maybe 1st time was bugged because of the co-op, or maybe because of the save-loads on raptors. Now when i think about it, I maybe sent this flowers not from my inventory, but right from the field itself. Someone pobably should check this thing with transferring flower right from the spot to your camp chest

Theres one other place you can put a sussur bloom that i figured out, your camp chest. It stays safe in there for some reason. Im guessing it counts as your inventory and because its in camp its not flagged as above or below ground inherently to avoid issues and having to individually program each campsite with different settings

Interesting, I am at this point of the game right now, so I will definitely keep an eye out for the blooms, thanks for the video. I would also use bags to sort my inventory, but I just send everything to camp, so the only thing I ever carry on me is the the key bag, potions, ingredient bag, camp supplies and gold 😅

Moving stuff around in your inventory doesn't take any actions in combat. So you could probably just put the bloom away in a bag, cast whatever you want on your turn, and then take it back out of the bag so it only blocks the enemies' spells.

I don't think it's a bug, when Sussur withers, when you try to put in someone else's pocket. While in your pouch in your bag it has two layers of fabric protecting from sun, backpack's and pouch's. When you take it out to put elsewhere it will have only one, even if for a brief moment. Even safes have small gaps, through which light can reach the delicate flower, thus making you to cover it with additional layer of protection.

Also to note if you 'send' sussur blooms to your camp they immediately wilt and turn into useless pedals worth 1g. Be careful with your flower handling.

The trick here is to keep this from happening never send your full party to camp. Keep one person out in the world. This happened in my multiplayer playthrough and might be the work around.

Spells shouldn’t work even if you are able to ignore silence, silence is a different debuff that only affects spells with a verbal component. The bloom actually cancels out magic in an area around it.

But I haven’t tested it out myself in the game, so take this with a grain of salt.

Silence is not equal to antimagic in 5E or Baldurs Gate. Even the wizard can cast some spells in silence. The limiting factor with silence is verbal components which most spells require. Keyword here being most ;).

Just tried it (2 Oct 2023), I put enough blooms that were active and creating the anti-magic field around the ground for the cut-scene. He was easily in it. The cut scene will happen either way. Unfortunately you can't save that elf

The sussur bloom on a Barbarian and fighter is heavenly, problem it will spellock all other melee class. Also the Blue aura and sound must be annoying after a while. But it is a nice cheese for steelwatcher hehehehe.

It's not sunlight that kills em. It's leaving the underdark period. I teleported to the treehouse in the swamp to see if I could use one to easily mute Auntie. It was dead when I got there. Guess in theory you have to walk through sunlit areas to get here so oh well.

It makes sense that the flower is destroyed by being in a leather pouch. The devs seem to have been thinking of film photography. Undeveloped camera film is very sensitive to light. It's usually sold in double sealed plastic containers in case one of the containers breaks. A leather pouch would absolutely not be light-proof for undeveloped film.

Patched. Doesn't work anymore. Sussur blooms are still good inside the traveler's chest, but as soon as one puts it in inventory, even inside a pouch, it withers.

seems I was wrong, it's even simpler than that. just type of container. I was putting corpses into containers bc easier to manipulate but seems that's not necessary upon further testing. I just got lucky with container type i put corpses into. based on wording i wonder if it's intended, not that I care. just tested it vs vlaakith wish spell for you to end, didn't help lol

The flower inside a pouch inside a bag (inside a crate)didn't work for me toprotect the flower from being destroyed by a ray of light in the forge camp in the underdark.
I tried to in the upper world, they get destroyed during loading even if I pop in the shadow of a tree.

This has been fixed, I knew already that only one of the masks can be saved normally, which is why I wanted to try this. I was hoping you could save them all with this method. The sussur greatsword literally wrecks your playthrough - it's a shame because you have to choose between other higher damage weapons and the sheer OP of being able to silence every enemy you fight

I have a berserker throwing build, im tempted to get 3 lvls of Eldritch Knight to get Weapon Bond (which returns to you when Thrown) and then use the sussur dagger to silence casters in between using my other throwing weapon.

Sussar Blooms cannot leave the underdark they wither on the Surface. thus they are stuck in Act 1

Or you can just eldritch blast the turrets, or you can just loot the chest of mundane normally, or you can just talk to Bernard for his rewards(or fight him he and his adds have low wis so you can CC them easy) , having the sussur bloom in your inventory is more of a hassle and hinderance to yourself than to enemies , entire video is pointless and misleading. Not really a trick
