Land on the Moon
Gavin Friday Lyrics

If we close our eyes… it wont make it go away?
If we scream inside… It wont make it go away?
Come on Come on… Take my Hand…
Don’t let it make you cry, it can't be all that bad
If we stay behind… they'll never let us leave?
If we pull at the sky… touch the stars above?
If we jump from the earth… do you think we'll land on the moon?
Come on Come on… Take my Hand…
Don't let it make you cry, it can't be all that bad
We'll jump from the earth… Fly up in the sky
Land on the Moon… Land on the Moon…
Away from this world… and Land on the Moon
When we close our eyes… Do we sleep at night?
When we say goodbye… Are we running away?
Lets jump from the earth, I think we'll Land on the Moon?
Where are we?
Come on Come on… Where are we?
Come on Come on… Where are we?
We'll jump from the earth… Fly up in the sky
Land on the Moon… Land on the Moon…
Away from this world… and Land on the Moon
Higher than high, way up in the sky, the moon is calling you and I
Sometimes the world is messing us up, sometimes the world is not enough
Come on Come on… Land on the Moon… Come on Come on…
Come on Come on… Land on the Moon… Come on Come on…
…We'll Land on the moon
The song “Land on the Moon” by Gavin Friday is a contemplative piece that seems to dive into the depths of human emotion in response to difficult circumstances. The lyrics suggest a feeling of helplessness in face of the problems that surround us, and the attempts to escape it all by literally jumping from the earth and landing on the moon. The repetition of the phrase “Land on the Moon” conveys a desire to break free from the troubles of the world and find solace elsewhere. The lyrics suggest that the act of closing our eyes, screaming inside, praying, or staying behind will not solve the problems at hand. The suggestion of jumping from the earth and landing on the moon implies a feeling of desperation and desire to escape.
The lyrics also explore the idea of the unknown and uncertainty in finding a solution to the problems faced by the world. The line “Where are we?” seems to suggest the feeling of being lost or unsure about what to do in the face of difficulties. The repetition of the line “Come on Come on” in the chorus is an encouraging gesture, urging the listener to take action and not be defeated by the world’s problems.
Overall, the song “Land on the Moon” seems to symbolize the human desire to escape or find a solution to difficult problems. The lyrics explore various attempts to do so, but ultimately suggest that the solutions may not be straightforward, easy, or even possible.
