He was born in Lebanon, the son of an Italian diplomat and an American singer. According to legend, he learned to play the guitar aged 10 to impress a German girl in his class.
As a rather cosmopolitan teenager Mazzolini began a career in a variety of jazz, rock and punk bands before meeting Rome, Italy based producer Pierluigi Giombini. Both shared a passion for synthesizers and started working together. The first release, Masterpiece, was a minor hit in 1982.
His footnote in charts history is his 1983 release I like Chopin (popular opinion notwithstanding, the piano motif herein is not a Chopin composition), which topped continental European charts for weeks.
The follow-up song Lunatic and the eponymous album also entered the Top 20 across Europe, but the 1984 album Telephone Mama was less successful.
Since then Mazzolini has released more albums. Not counting the occasional hit compilation with yet another "I Like Chopin" remix, the latest work was produced in 1997, an Italian only album called "Viewpoint".
Recently, Gazebo released a new album "The Syndrone" (2008).
Home Sweet Home
Gazebo Lyrics

Two walls that I can stare
Friends or foes
Something they just can't share
In my own division of the space
I can breathe
Miracles of fame and money
An endless field
Windy Autumn nights
A Fireplace
A fusion of burning hearts
And butterflies
Caught in the traps of snakes
Black snakes
The tube trains like to stamp
Shades, white shades
Protruding from my lamp
In my own division of time
I can breathe
Prisoner of the supreme laws of biology
The lyrics to Gazebo's song "Home sweet Home" explore the concept of the meaning of home and how it is a space that one can't always share with others. The first line, "Home, sweet home" immediately creates a sense of nostalgia and familiarity. The next line, "Two walls that I can stare" suggests a sense of confinement and limitation that comes with being in a space that is meant to be comforting. The following line, "Friends or foes, something they just can't share" suggests that even though there are people who may come in and out of the space, they won't fully understand what the space means to the person who calls it home.
The second stanza starts with "In my own division of the space, I can breathe" which reflects the idea that even though the space may be small, it is still enough to allow the person to exist and be themselves. The concept of money and fame is mentioned with the line, "Miracles of fame and money haunt the breeze" suggesting that even though these things may seem desirable, they don't necessarily bring comfort or a sense of home. The third stanza contains more imagery with "An endless field, windy Autumn nights" and "A Fireplace, a fusion of burning hearts". These images evoke a sense of warmth and comfort that is associated with home.
The final two lines of the song, "Prisoner of the supreme laws of biology" suggest that even though one may feel at home, they are still bound by the physical realities of the human body. Overall, the lyrics of "Home sweet Home" convey a sense of nostalgia, confinement, and warmth associated with the concept of home.
