@bretert Yeah penicillin is the main one actually, all the drugs in the same family as well, amoxicillin is probably the worst, allergic reactions to these substances are common due to their mechanism of action, they can harm good bacteria in your body whilst harming the negative bacteria too.

Effective family of antibiotics, but they should be used as an emperic or last line defense. For respiratory infections I always ask my doctor for an initial shot of cephtriaxone along with a z pac. I never had any issues with this treatment and usually feel improved within a few hours of the shot.

Just got home from the ER room, felt like I was going to die from Macrobid, my dr told me not to stop taking it, the ER room said Stop taking it now! The sad part is, ppl in their 30’s have antibiotic resistances because if we had a cold, you were given antibiotics. Not so fun when you actually get sick as an adult. Nasty stuff.

People need to STOP TAKING shit when it causes issues. I had a terrible reaction to the 'usually safe' cephalexin. Mental confusion, profound lack of energy, physical coordination problems (almost fell a time or two), headache, and insane bouts of sweating and shivering. I think it was affecting my CNS in some manner. This all began ~24 hours after I started taking the crap. After a day of suffering, I took myself off the drug. Within 16 hours I was almost fully recovered.

yeah everyone has a different reaction. If you feel weird you need to immediately tell your doctor. Also take probiotics when you are ON the stupid thing. I had mild C-diff when i was 20 from taking 2 very strong antibiotics in the same year. Was sick for 2 years pooping back and forth forever. Now I'm sensitive to a buttload of them, can't do cipro, can't do clendmycin, can't do zpaks. Insta-runs.

In 2000 I went to a demartologist with Tinea pedis and rosacea. No proper idea how to deal with Tinea pedis and metzonidazol for rosacea. I didnt go for the drug. The rosacea resolved itself turned out it was being caused by an explosion in the population of Demodex mites. The metzonidazol wasnt necessary. This drug is intense. I didn’t have any side effects at for the first 2 days and found myself in the hospital day 4. The side effects are real. I was able to reduce my side effects with the following protocol:
-3 grams of Glutathione via IV (day 2 of coming off)
-Glutathione Injection ( 1 gram) every day
-B12 injection 1 x per week
-5 days (55 minutes per session) i. hyperbaric chamber
-350 mgs / 1 tablet of Magnesium *most important*

Two of my friends had ruptured Achilles tendons from this. I took it the highest dose too and ine pill sent me into a severe panic attack, my hand eye coordination got messed up, trouble typing, tendon pains, and sheer terror. Just put on this one now with amoxicillin for 2 weeks now after 2 treatments of amoxicillin and clarythromicin failed. First 2 treatments didn't work so I guess this stuff is needed to get rid of the stubborn h pylori.

Because they don’t know much I had to check out side affects in USA as in Holland the nerve damage is sited as very very rare but it’s handed out as sweeties all the review sites are full of very negative affects so I changed after symptoms starts in 2/3 tabs already BAD poison

I was prescribed cipro for kidney infection same family after 3 tabs had tingling and really restless legs couldn’t sleep all night from them asked to change meds to amoxicillin clav dr said it’s not a side affect how dumb are drs it’s almost banned in some countries in Holland they keep prescribing them and people suffer as it’s not written in side affects how BAD is that

lameman terms.. to my know how its a metalic baced molecule not mold or bio enzymes like traditional antibiotics thats why you dont take sodium. ron .calcium.. any metaliks.. it fks with the metalic catalyst... or rather makes it go wher its not suppose to on ion count. like sulphanilla or silver/copper bacteria killers.. they just don't care

think of it like asking a metal killer robot to take it easy on its surroundings (you're body) while dealing with what its sent in to do.. whoile bii clmpunds just wirk well with bio physiology

This drug should be taken off the market. It never cleared my UTI and the tendon in my right foot was affected. So, now I use a natural remedy. Oregano oil...cleared it in 24 hours.

they gave it to me,my eyes swollen,i m small sized,but my arms became like an obese person arms...also i had difficulty walking i had to use stick..i was too tired,and hardly could breath,i was gasping for air,and this happened in march,may and september this year
they are still prescribing this poison to the patients and the best part?
it did not works for MY KIDNEY AND UTI INFECTION!
