This is the first time in six years I have been able to listen to this song. It wasn't played at our wedding but my husband would sing this song to me whenever it was on the radio and held my hand. He made me feel special and loved. After 35 years of marriage at age 54 my beloved was killed in a truck accident. My heart was so broken. I didn't know life without him. I was 16 years old and he 19 when we married. He was all I knew of life. We had 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Our oldest daughter is expecting our 9th. So again this song was not played at our wedding but my sister at my husbands funeral surprised me so sweetly speaking of how much my husband loved me and how he always sang me this song and then it was played. This song will forever echo in my heart. Thank you for such a beautiful song.

Oh wow, that is so sweet! I hope you're doing well at this point. It wasn't played at our wedding either. I've.taken the long way around to find out what a gem of a man I have, but I've now realized how lucky I am to have him! Kinda the opposite of you're situation. I wish i couldve realized it right away, then I would've treated him so.much better, but better late than never!

I sang this to my wife when I proposed, and again at our wedding, and at every anniversary, and this year will be our 25th, and I will sing it to her again, just as I will every year for as long as we live.

My wife and I were already married when this song came out. I surprised her on our 10th anniversary by singing it to her while a good friend played guitar. Not nearly as well done as Geoff Moore, and I certainly don't have his great singing voice, but it was still awesome and brought tears to her eyes.
