Ghost Writer:

Iโ€™m good friends with the showโ€™s promoter, and, also Dave โ€˜Man Mountainโ€™ York. Iโ€™ve spoken (written) at length with both about said events at Snakes Lane. Truth is, Reg Parker (Shapes Gym) and his boys ran the security that day, and Kenny Mac (Promoter) told me they had it away on their toes when it kicked off with whoever. Lenny left immediately after his fight, as heโ€™d had enough of the Unlicensed game.

Dave York was definitely no mug on the cobbles, and only fought for a bit of cash in the ring. Dave would fight anyone! While out with his brother (Ref, Roy York) one night, Dave actually offered Len out in the Camden Palace. It was tongue-in-cheek, but Dave wouldโ€™ve had it with him there and then. Dave is a top man and nothing like you imagine him to be.

Re the Len v York bout: Len broke two of Daves ribs in the first minute.

Len and Dalton had an agreement; an agreement made weeks before. The agreement was to leave their beef at the gates. Len was weary of Dalton, due to the fact Dalton didnโ€™t mind pulling out a life-ender to settle a war. Furthermore, Len and Mac knew that having Dalton on the bill would get rid of extra tickets.

Oh, and Woollard detested Lenny, so, Iโ€™d take anything he said with a pinch of salt.

Best,

Lee Wortley

Ps:

I really donโ€™t mean to name drop in my replies, I only mention my friendships with these men because it adds a sense of clout to my testimonies.

Great content as usual. I love your channel.

Donโ€™t need to know lenny and Roy to know they are not going to run from fkn anyone especially some of these weak men who fight in gangs and pretend their hard outside.

I knew a few club lads who was always at it at the games and yes fair enough some select ones are serious fighting men.

The rest are filled up with ppl
Like Danny dyer whose eyes fill up with a slap across the grill.

Itโ€™s simple if youโ€™re not a fight donโ€™t worry and donโ€™t be ashamed.

If youโ€™re not a fighter and cause a fight and get handled then you should worry and you should be and feel ashamed.

Tough men are that way because itโ€™s who they are and Iโ€™ve seen the nicest of skinny kids be able to produce that dog in themselves because they had their back to the wall.

Just be who you are

I am sure Lenny with his wealth of experience on the doors could weigh up the odds of situations. He maybes saw how many of them there were, thought it was unfair, and advised the ICF they needed more numbers before he started fighting them.

People have no idea what the ICF were involved in, if they wanted Lenny they would've got him any time, they had crazy numbers and some of the toughest men in London.

Interesting story, I have read the books and seen these guys in action on video and heard the stories.
Personally, I cannot imagine Roy or Lenny running from anyone. The other guys I know nothing of but it all sounds a bit of a made up story about them all locking themselves in a room! Thanks for this, most interesting and RIP Lenny and Roy.

How do you think Lenny got shot in the arse? I guy he's battered during sparring called round to his house and have him both barrells in the arse as he was running away. McLean was a notorious bully and was a well-known liberty taker in the east end

Sycophantic clowns comes to mind. If you want to worship someone you can always visit a local cemetery and look at the graves of the fallen

I have not a lot of knowledge on all these names in the video nor was I there, but from a outsiders view, I could see the film actors going to a safe place out of the way simply because their film career could be in trouble for this sort of situation (not running with their tail between heir legs). The actual known "hard men" I could see making a stand or some form of stance, but again it could go either making a stand or getting out of the way because they dont want the heat after the fracas has finished. You also need to consider that, if it is a group (large or small), you would need to throw a sense of caution into it, I mean you could be there trying to fight someone and all of a sudden someone else give you a dig in the ribs from behind, I mean you just won't know who is with you and who is not in the carnage of it all.

My first thought with this stuff is always "where's the objective evidence". Anecdotal accounts from crews certainly aren't evidence as they're notoriously unreliable. Without evidence I have to call bullshit.

Andy Mitchell

it is pure bullshit mate

I have seen the ICF run from far less than that group of hard men !!
But full respect to Cass, who is a hard bastard !
That compliment comes from a former Headhunter, back in the day .

Iโ€™m by no means a hooligan or hard man, but I have spent a little bit of time with some. Their stories are like the cliched fishing tales, the fish keeps getting bigger with every telling!
