What's going on in your mind?
Do you deceive me? Will you ever leave me?
What's going on in your mind?
Yeah, yeah you're driving me crazy
Yeah, yeah you're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah, you're driving me crazy
Yeah, yeah woman you're crazy
You're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah woman you're crazy
You're an electric, you're an electric, you're an electric
Bet you think you're funny when you spend my money
But you do it all the time
You've got me on the line woman you got me
Keep getting shocks from your spine
Yeah, yeah you're driving me crazy
Yeah, yeah you're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah, you're driving me crazy
Yeah, yeah you're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah woman you're crazy
You're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah woman you're crazy
You're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah woman you're crazy
You're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah woman you're crazy
You're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah woman you're crazy
You're an electric lady
Yeah, yeah woman you're crazy
You're an electric lady
The lyrics to Geordie's song Electric Lady depict a man who is trying to understand the woman he is involved with. He wonders what she is thinking and whether she is being truthful with him. He is feeling overwhelmed and described as being driven crazy by her. The use of the phrase "electric lady" seems to describe her effect on him, as if she has some sort of power or energy that he cannot resist.
The lyrics also touch on the woman's tendency to spend the man's money, indicating that she may be taking advantage of him. He mentions that she has him on "the line," perhaps implying that she has some sort of control over him. The repeated chorus of "yeah, yeah you're driving me crazy, yeah, yeah you're an electric lady" reinforces the sense of being overwhelmed and captivated by this woman.
Overall, the lyrics suggest a complicated and intense relationship that is filled with both attraction and frustration.
