Ten Feet Tall
Geordie Lyrics

To make you fall
So far from me?
And now, I can't recall
Because of the fall
Selective memory
Then you, you built a wall
A 20 foot wall
But if I get off my knees
I might recall
I'm 20 feet tall
Ooh, ehh
I'm 20 feet tall
Mmm, yeah, ooh, yeah
I'm 20 feet tall
My love, what did I do
To make you fall
So far from me?
And now, I can't recall
Because of the fall
Selective memory
Then you, you built a wall
A 20 foot wall
So I couldn't see
But if I get off my knees
I might recall
I'm 20 feet tall
Ehh, eh, ooh, yeah
I'm 20 feet tall
Ehh, yeah, ooh, ahh
I'm 20 feet tall
Ah, yeah, ooh, hey
I'm 20 feet tall
Ehh, ehh, yeah, yeah ehh
I'm 20 feet tall
Mmm, mmm
The song Ten Feet Tall by Geordie is about a failed relationship where the singer questions what he did wrong and why his love fell so far away from him. He also talks about the selective memory that comes after a heartbreak where he can't recall what happened to push them apart. The chorus of the song sees the singer comparing himself to being 20 feet tall, which can be seen as a metaphor for the confidence he may have gained since the breakup. The wall that his love built may be symbolic of the emotional barrier his ex-partner created which makes it challenging for him to move on.
The song's lyrics can be interpreted in various ways by different listeners. Some see it as a song that talks about accepting emotional pain and growing from it, while others view it as a song about the difficulty of moving on from a past relationship. The song's melody is upbeat and catchy, which is in contrast to the lyrics that talk about heartbreak and pain. The song's catchy tune has made it a popular track for cover artists on various online platforms.
