What a voice! I was moved to tears when hearing Philippe Sly sing. The effect of his singing and the words from The trumpet shall sound almost left me speechless such is the beauty of this baritone’s exquisite interpretation of Handel. Only beautiful music with meaning and depth can a voice so powerful and flawless have such a mesmerising effect on the listener. Thank the Lord there are such performers who can make a person’s life exultant and produce a feeling of sublime happiness.

The evenness, strength, and agility of the voice across all registers, the effortlessly precise intonation, the original (and completely persuasive) dynamics and ornamentation, the intelligent and sensitive declamation of the text... You, sir, are the complete package.

Playing this for the prelude at my father's funeral tomorrow in New Mexico, thank you Philippe Sly. You have such a beautiful voice. My father was 88 at his death, a great man of God, kind to all, founded a homeless mission in my hometown, went to the Federal Prison every week to do a Bible Study/mentoring with the prisoners for SIXTEEN years. His life was his testimony. I BELIEVE he will be raised incorruptible. Thank you again.
