Confused ? You won't be after this episode of Soap. My grandpa used to love this show and as I kid I couldn't follow it but here I am almost 30 and I see why he loved this show. Shame it never got a proper ending

I discovered this show when I was probably in my early 20’s. My mom said she used to watch this crazy show when it was originally on. I watch it now at 32 and still find it funny. It’s actually better then a daytime soap.

Funny how our minds change over the years. Back in the 70's I HATED this music. Funny show, but I couldn't stand hearing the opening credits. But now I LOVE it. Strange.

During the first two seasons, especially the earliest episodes, it's hard to believe that the announcer was Rod Roddy. However, during the final two seasons, particularly the final season, there is enough timber in his voice to know that this IS the Rod Roddy that was the announcer on "Whew!", which he began announcing during "Soap's" third season, and, of course, "Press Your Luck" and "The Price Is Right."

It is a major shame this show never really had closure, it was so brilliant for its time and yet they had no real ending to this show......too bad they could not do a next generation of this family and keep their stories going so to speak, it may not be called Soap, do most of them are pretty much gone but four of them, but still a title such as the Tates and the Campbells would be good :-)

sounds like nilsson because the writer, George Tipton, was the arranger for 'the point' and other nillson albums. Great tune.

Actually, the 'Too Close For Comfort' theme was composed by Johnny Mandel. Mandel is famous for writiing the theme from M*A*S*H. I just noticed I wrote "theme dongs" instead of "theme songs" in my earlier post! That was an unfortunate typo!
