The band acquired international fame with the two major hit singles; the psychedelic rock-style "Little Green Bag" (1969), and "Una Paloma Blanca" (1975).
In 1982, "Una Paloma Blanca" was used in the TV movie The Executioner's Song. In 1992, "Little Green Bag" again topped the international charts after it was used in Quentin Tarantino's motion picture Reservoir Dogs. "Little Green Bag" was also used in Chilean telenovela "Machos" as the main theme.

That she won't come back to stay
That she'd only comes to pick up her clothes
She wrote I must not cry
That her love for me has died
But she'd found sombody else, I suppose
Baby Blue, Baby Blue
Do you know that I'm still in love with you
How I need you, how I want you Baby Blue
I know I must forget
All the good times we had
But I'll know that I can't forget you
You're still on my mind
And I know I can find
Such a girl as my sweet Baby Blue
Baby Blue, Baby Blue
Do you know that I'm still in love with you
Now I know that you won't be here no more
How I need you, how I want you Baby Blue
Solo ?ber Strophe
Baby Blue, Baby Blue
Do you know that I'm still in love with you
Now I know that you won't be here no more
How I need you, how I want you Baby Blue
She wrote me today
That she won't come back to stay
That she'd only comes to pick up her clothes
She wrote I must not cry
That her love for me has died
But she'd found sombody else, I suppose
Baby Blue, Baby Blue
Do you know that I'm still in love with you
Now I know that you won't be here no more
How I need you, how I want you Baby Blue
George Baker Selection's song "Baby Blue" is about a man who discovers that his lover has found someone else, and she writes him a letter to inform him that she is not returning. The lyrics reflect the man's heartbreak and longing, as he reminisces about the good times they had and how much he still loves her. He is struggling to move on from her, even though he knows he must forget about her.
In the song's opening stanza, the man receives a letter from his lover, who tells him that she won't be coming back to stay and that she is only coming to collect her things. She also tells him not to cry and that she has found someone else. Despite this news, the man can't help but express his love for her, and he hopes that they can be together once again. He knows that he must forget about her, but he can't get her out of his mind, and he continues to long for her.
Throughout the song, the lyrics repeat the phrase "Baby Blue," which is likely a reference to the woman the man loves, as well as to his emotional state. The song features a simple, catchy melody, with a prominent guitar riff and prominent drums. These elements combine to create a bittersweet sound that perfectly captures the melancholy mood of the lyrics.
