After the Beatles stopped touring in 1966, George started writing more songs than could be fitted onto the albums so that by the time of the split he had built up a collection of songs, some used on his debut solo album, All Things Must Pass. The album, released in 1970, contains the two-time number one hit, "My Sweet Lord".
Harrison is also credited for creating music benefits, notably the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh. Harrison played beside Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr, and Leon Russell to a crowd of 40,000 in Madison Square Garden, New York. The show raised over $240,000 benefiting the George Harrison Fund for Bangladesh relief.
Harrison went on to release several successful solo albums, and in the late 1980s collaborated with Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty, in a group called Traveling Wilburys. The group released two albums. Later, Harrison reunited with the other two surviving Beatles, after John Lennon's murder in 1980, to produce two final Beatles records, "Free As a Bird" and "Real Love" featuring the voice of Lennon, taken from home demos provided by Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono. The three Beatles also co-wrote a massive autobiography and television special, both titled "The Beatles Anthology."
Before his death, Harrison conceived of a Cirque du Soleil show, "Love," featuring remixes of Beatles music which were overseen by Beatles producer George Martin.
Harrison died on November 29, 2001 after a battle with cancer, leaving behind a wife and son, Olivia and Dhani Harrison. His last album, Brainwashed, was released posthumously and featured the single "Any Road".
A benefit concert in Harrison's memory was played on 29 November 2002 at the Royal Albert Hall. The star-studded event (featuring Eric Clapton and Monty Python, as well as former band mates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr) was released on the DVD double-album, Concert for George.
Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp
George Harrison Lyrics

Through the hall and out the door
To the fountain of perpetual mirth
Let it roll for all it's worth
Find me where ye echo lays
Lose ye bodies in the maze
See the Lord and all the mouths he feeds
Let it roll among the weeds
Let it roll
Let it roll down through the caves
Ye long walks of Coole and Shades
Through ye woode, here may ye rest awhile
Handkerchiefs to match your tie
Let it roll
Let it roll, let it roll
Let it roll, let it roll
Fools illusions everywhere
Joan and Molly sweeps the stairs
Eyes that shining full of inner light
Let it roll into the night
Let it roll, let it roll
Let it roll, let it roll
Let it roll, let it roll
The lyrics to "Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp" by George Harrison seem to be a call to let go of worldly concerns and allow oneself to be swept away by the natural and spiritual beauty of the world around us. The opening lines, "Let it roll across the floor, through the hall and out the door, to the fountain of perpetual mirth" suggest a sense of joy and playfulness. The idea seems to be to follow this sense of joy even if it takes us away from familiar surroundings and routines, as indicated by the subsequent line, "Let it roll for all it's worth."
The rest of the lyrics are a bit more obscure. The singer asks to be found "where ye echo lays" and suggests getting lost in a maze. These lines might suggest a desire to get lost in thought or contemplation, to find a quiet corner to reflect on life's mysteries. The line "see the Lord and all the mouths he feeds" seems to connect this contemplation to a sense of spirituality and a recognition of the interconnectedness of all beings.
The lines "fools illusions everywhere, Joan and Molly sweeps the stairs" might suggest a sense of futility or meaningless busywork, but the final lines, "Eyes that shining full of inner light, let it roll into the night" suggest that the singer sees a glimmer of meaning or transcendence in the world around him, and he wants to surrender to this beauty and allow it to sweep him away.

I love this song. Sitting in the balcony, having my last drink for the night, looking at the stars. It is amazing.

Never heard of it. Had to look it up. I got to know George's songs from buying George's albums. On vinyl mostly, with a few cassettes.
