Behind That Locked Door
George Harrison Lyrics

Why are you still crying?
Your pain is now through
Please forget those teardrops
Let me take them for you
The love you are blessed with
This world's waiting for
So let out your heart please, please
From behind that locked door

It's time we start smiling
What else should we do?
With only this short time
I'm gonna be here with you
And the tales you have taught me
From the things that you saw
Makes me want out your heart, please, please
From behind that locked door

And if ever my love goes
If I'm rich or I'm poor
Come and let out my heart, please, please
From behind that locked door

"It's time we start smiling. What else should we do?" I first noticed this line some years ago when I was going through depression. George's songs are full of positive messages and I can tell for sure that his lyrics and beautiful melodies helped me to overcome a lot of difficulties.

You should hear George's "Just for Today" then. Rather depressive lyrics...

I will always believe that this song is a sweet honest message from George to Bob. People think that Dylan is weird, boring or something like that but I am sure he is just a shy, discrete person. And I'm sure George was able to "destroy" that wall that Bob usually creates with people and then they were able to have a great relationship as real friends.

Kevan Brown

You're right George wrote this when he went to see Dylan and Bob didn't seem himself just sitting there saying nothing their friendship lasted though doing the wilburys together and I know George admired Dylan's genius he once said that Dylan made Shakespeare seem like design o"Conner

Fanques Fair

Masterpiece stylization of country/folk ballad by Harrison . The sweet slide guitar by Peter Drake makes it haunting and crystaline ; while the lyrics are one of the few songs on All Things Must Pass which takes a more postive and hopeful feeling of life , despite its melancholy .

Kevan Brown

Peter drake well known country guitarist, played on Dylan's John Wesley Harding and Nashville skyline and on lots of other artists work
