My Sweet Lord
George Harrison Lyrics

My sweet Lord
Mm, my Lord
Mm, my Lord

I really want to see you
Really want to be with you
Really want to see you, Lord
But it takes so long, my Lord

My sweet Lord
Mm, my Lord
Mm, my Lord

I really want to know you
Really want to go with you
Really want to show you, Lord
That it won't take long, my Lord

(Hallelujah)
My sweet Lord
(Hallelujah)
Mm my Lord
(Hallelujah)
My sweet Lord
(Hallelujah)

Really wanna see you
Really wanna see you
Really wanna see you, Lord
Really wanna see you, Lord
But it takes so long, my Lord

(Hallelujah)
My sweet Lord
(Hallelujah)
Mm, my Lord
(Hallelujah)
My my my Lord
(Hallelujah)

I really wanna know you
(Hallelujah)
Really wanna go with you
(Hallelujah)
Really wanna show you, Lord
That it won't take long, my Lord
(Hallelujah)

Mmm
(Hallelujah)
My sweet Lord
(Hallelujah)
My my Lord
(Hallelujah)

Mmm my Lord
(Hare Krishna)
My my my Lord
(Hare Krishna)
Oh my sweet Lord
(Krishna, Krishna)
Oohh

Now I really wanna see you
(Hare Rama)
Really wanna be with you

This has to be one of the best modern hymns ever written. In fact it may be one of the best hymns of all time.
It certainly a song of praise, and thats all a hymn is.

@Srikanth Sidd At my church, we do not believe in reincarnation and I don't believe that you can introduce me to a reincarnated being. If it is fact, there must be millions and millions of such beings. Who and where are they? In any case, I respect your religion. Religious discussion are generally fruitless and have caused more pain, suffering and death than comfort. People will argue and fight for religious beliefs. Few will live in accordance with their beliefs. That is the history of religion in the world. Please keep your RELIGIOUS OPNIONS to yourself. This is a song to enjoy, nothing else. This is not a religious forum.

@Srikanth Sidd I don't know anything about Hinduism, but based on your post I much prefer it to Christianity because you're judged on what you do and how you treat others, which makes much more sense than being rewarded for believing in God, but possibly living a terribly selfish life at the expense of others, just by asking for forgiveness on a weekly basis or at the end of your life. It has never made sense to me that the Christian God could almost be described as narcissistic and brutal when religion should be about compassion and selflessness. I was raised Christian, but I became an atheist because too many things about Christianity didn't make sense to me. If there is an afterlife where people are sent to either heaven or hell, that should be based on your resume of how you conducted yourself during your life. I know many Christians who are terrible people who shouldn't get a look into heaven.

@Just Me That's how God works sometimes it's complicated. Religion is black and white and represents extremes.

By the way George Harrison became Hindu in 1969
