After the Beatles stopped touring in 1966, George started writing more songs than could be fitted onto the albums so that by the time of the split he had built up a collection of songs, some used on his debut solo album, All Things Must Pass. The album, released in 1970, contains the two-time number one hit, "My Sweet Lord".
Harrison is also credited for creating music benefits, notably the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh. Harrison played beside Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr, and Leon Russell to a crowd of 40,000 in Madison Square Garden, New York. The show raised over $240,000 benefiting the George Harrison Fund for Bangladesh relief.
Harrison went on to release several successful solo albums, and in the late 1980s collaborated with Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty, in a group called Traveling Wilburys. The group released two albums. Later, Harrison reunited with the other two surviving Beatles, after John Lennon's murder in 1980, to produce two final Beatles records, "Free As a Bird" and "Real Love" featuring the voice of Lennon, taken from home demos provided by Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono. The three Beatles also co-wrote a massive autobiography and television special, both titled "The Beatles Anthology."
Before his death, Harrison conceived of a Cirque du Soleil show, "Love," featuring remixes of Beatles music which were overseen by Beatles producer George Martin.
Harrison died on November 29, 2001 after a battle with cancer, leaving behind a wife and son, Olivia and Dhani Harrison. His last album, Brainwashed, was released posthumously and featured the single "Any Road".
A benefit concert in Harrison's memory was played on 29 November 2002 at the Royal Albert Hall. The star-studded event (featuring Eric Clapton and Monty Python, as well as former band mates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr) was released on the DVD double-album, Concert for George.
Stuck Inside A Cloud

Never smoked so much
Lost my concentration I could even lose my touch
Talking to myself
Crying out loud
Only I can hear me
I'm stuck inside a cloud
I lost my will to eat
The only thing that matters to me is to touch your lotus feet
Talking to myself
Crying out loud
Only I can hear me
I'm stuck inside a cloud
Talking to myself
Crying out loud
Only I can hear me
And I'm stuck inside a cloud
Talking to myself
Crying out loud
Only I can hear me
I'm stuck inside a cloud
Never been so crazy
But I've never felt so sure
I wish I had the answer to give
Don't even have the cure
Just talking to myself crying as we part
Knowing as you leave me
I also lose my heart
Talking to myself crying as we part
Knowing as you leave me
I also lose my heart
The lyrics of George Harrison's song "Stuck Inside A Cloud" depicts the feelings of being trapped inside your own sadness and struggles. The first verse suggests that the singer has lost track of time and their sense of self, as they have never slept so little and smoked so much. This is further emphasized by the line "Lost my concentration, I could even lose my touch." The second verse suggests that the singer is deeply devoted to something or someone, as they have lost their will to eat, and the only thing that matters is to touch someone's "lotus feet." The chorus repeats the lines "Talking to myself, crying out loud, only I can hear me, I'm stuck inside a cloud" which further emphasizes the feeling of being alone with one's thoughts and emotions.
The third verse suggests the singer's desperation to find answers to their struggles. In the line "Never been so crazy, but I've never felt so sure," the singer seems to be in a state of confusion but is sure of their emotions. The line "Don't even have the cure" further emphasizes their hopelessness. The final verse is particularly emotional as the singer cries out to themselves as they say goodbye to someone they love. "Knowing as you leave me, I also lose my heart." This line speaks volumes about the depth of their love and the pain that comes with it.

jc, that's such a strange take on Olivia. George said it was the opposite. In fact he has a song about only she could reach him. Have to remember which song. More than one, I think. One example: Dark Sweet Lady.
You really got to me
Your heart so close to mine
Beautiful Girl has lyrics about both Patti and Olivia, because he started it in the 60s. This is about Olivia:
Never seen such a beautiful girl
Had me quickly untied
Calling to me she made me realize
Not the kind that is lost or is found
She has always been there
A lover needed for this soul to survive

Took me two years after his death to be able to get through this song
Oh wait. I still can't get through it without choking up.
Never slept so little,
never smoked so much
Lost my concentration,
I could even lose my touch
Talking to myself,
crying out loud
Only I can hear me,
I'm stuck inside a cloud
Well I made some exhibition,
I lost my will to eat
The only thing that matters to me
is to touch your lotus feet
Talking to myself,
crying out loud
Only I can hear me
and I'm stuck inside a cloud
Talking to myself,
crying out loud
Only I can hear me,
I'm stuck inside a cloud
Talking to myself,
crying out loud
Only I can hear me,
I'm stuck inside the cloud
Never been so crazy
but I've never felt so sure
I wish I had the answer to give,
don't even have the cure
Just talking to myself,
crying as we part
Knowing as you leave me,
I also lose my heart
I'm talking to myself
and I'm crying as we part
Knowing as you leave me,
I also lose my heart

Jamais dormi si peu
Never slept so little
Jamais autant fumé
Never smoked so much
J'ai perdu ma concentration, je pourrais
Lost my concentration, I could
Même perdre mon contact
Even lose my touch
Me parler
Talking to myself
Pleurer à haute voix
Crying out loud
Seulement je peux m'entendre, je suis
Only I can hear me, I'm
Coincé dans un nuage
Stuck inside a cloud
J'ai joué une exposition
I played some exhibition
J'ai perdu ma volonté de manger
I lost my will to eat
La seule chose qui compte pour moi est
The only thing that matters to me is
Pour toucher tes pieds de lotus
To touch your lotus feet
Me parler
Talking to myself
Pleurer à haute voix
Crying out loud
Seulement je peux m'entendre, je suis
Only I can hear me, I'm
Coincé dans un nuage
Stuck inside a cloud
Me parler
Talking to myself
Pleurer à haute voix
Crying out loud
Seulement je peux m'entendre, je suis
Only I can hear me, I'm
Coincé dans un nuage
Stuck inside a cloud
Me parler
Talking to myself
Pleurer à haute voix
Crying out loud
Seulement je peux m'entendre, je suis
Only I can hear me, I'm
Coincé dans un nuage
Stuck inside a cloud
Jamais été aussi fou
Never been so crazy
Mais je ne me suis jamais senti aussi sûr
But I've never felt so sure
J'aurais aimé avoir la réponse à donner
I wish I had the answer to give
Je n'ai même pas le remède
Don't even have the cure
Juste, me parler
Just, talking to myself
Pleurer en nous séparant
Crying as we part
Sachant que tu me quittes, je
Knowing as you leave me, I
Perds aussi mon coeur
Also lose my heart
Me parler
Talking to myself
Je pleure en nous séparant
I'm crying as we part
Sachant que tu me quittes, je
Knowing as you leave me, I
Perds aussi mon coeur
Also lose my heart

Brilliant lyrics. How often have we felt like this? Truly captures it. I hope George is sitting on a cloud now still writing songs🎼🎵🎶

@Garbandguly Berdimuhamedow I came here to say the same thing. This song is very, very much about George's final days on the planet Earth. This is him saying goodbye to the world. 1:05 - is literally George talking about how chemo makes him feel.
Garbandguly Berdimuhamedow
I don't have terminal cancer nor am currently doing chemo therapy.

@MegaPlexy exactly, George knew

@Tonetwisters Christ & Krishna, the same.

I too, hope George made the decision to repent of sin and come to Jesus somewhere toward the end of his life ...

@Sean Sans doute se sentait-il mourir. C'est ce qui rend ce morceau bouleversant.

@Sean This world is a bit depressing, and that's on a good day. But George's music is good for curing it. The irony isn't lost on me.
