Huff is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana; he is currently a student at the University of Oklahoma. Huff auditioned for the third season of American Idol in Houston, Texas; he was a member of the fourth group of semifinalists. He was actually not among those originally chosen for the semifinal round, but was put through when contestant Donnie Williams was disqualified for a drunk driving arrest.
Huff was not voted through to the final round from his group of semifinalists, but got another second chance when he was brought back for the wildcard round and put through as a finalist by contest judge Simon Cowell. During this period, New Orleans Fox Affiliate WVUE would hold specials including Huff's family cheering George on during the latest episodes.
On May 5, 2004, Huff was voted off in fifth place after two renditions of Fred Astaire's "Cheek to Cheek" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" during big band week.
His album, Miracles, was released by Word Records, on October 11, 2005. The first single off that album was Brighter Day. It sold a mere 18,000 copies.
In 2005 his Louisiana home was affected by Hurricane Katrina. He left New Orleans and stayed at his brother's house in Dallas. 1
A Brighter Day

Situations tend to weigh us down
And it's easy to let 'em steal your joy away
It's always when you are the closest
To almost getting through change seems far away
Everyday we live there's problems all around
Things you can't brace yourself for
I know that it ain't easy
To smile and hide the pain
Oh, I've been there before
So I'm telling you
When you've had enough you wanna give up
You gotta believe that there will be a brighter day
Seems you can't go on just stay strong you gotta just believe
That there will be a brighter day
There are time when you can't take no more
Seems like every door's locked
And can't be opened the doubts of dreams
Ever coming true can discourage you
But you need to see that
Everyday we live there's problems all around
Things you can't brace yourself for
I know that it ain't easy
To smile and hide the pain
Oh, I've been there before
So I'm telling you
When you've had enough you wanna give up
You gotta believe that there will be a brighter day
Seems you can't go on just stay strong you gotta just believe
That there will be a brighter day
Goals are nearer, things are clever now you finally see
It's gonna make you wanna say
All my problems they've been solved and days look brighter to me
When you've had enough you wanna give up
You gotta believe that there will be a brighter day
Seems you can't go on just stay strong you gotta just believe
That there will be a brighter day
The lyrics of George Huff's "A Brighter Day" encourage listeners to stay confident that tomorrow will be better, even in the midst of adversity. The song opens with the message that situations in life have a tendency to pull us down, and it's easy to become disheartened. It's often when we're closest to making progress that the prospect of change seems furthest away. Despite the problems that arise every day, which are often unpredictable, and difficult to prepare for, we must find the strength to endure, smile through the pain, and conceal our inner turmoil.
The lyrics emphasize having faith in better days to come, even when we feel like giving up. There are times when it becomes impossible to endure any further, and every door appears to be locked. The doubts that our dreams will manifest can discourage us from continuing forward. However, even when things seem at their bleakest, we must push ourselves to keep going, believing that brighter days are coming. The song concludes with an optimistic outlook, suggesting that goals are closer, and things are becoming clearer, and that progress is within reach if only we hold on.

AMEN!
If you don't mind,
I'd like to share another YouTube video, with you.
It's actually a sermon that I heard yesterday;
entitled:
I Dare You!
The word dare is used as an acronym as follows:
Doing
All
Risking
Everything;
that God,
ask us to do.
Bishop Rodolf McKissick
Ths sermon is so profound and it truly was a Rama word,
for such a time, as now.
Should you decide to watch it;
I promise you won't regret it!
Stay blessed!
