His follow-up releases received press and were successful, but less successful than on his previous releases. His second album, 1992's In My Life, included a remake of the Jackson 5's I Want You Back, in addition to the single Where Does That Leave Love? (#59 Hot 100, 1992), which made an impact on sales and radio but less of an impact in the clubs or charts as previous releases. Lamond has also released a couple of salsa albums and scored a number of hits on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. 2001 saw the release of his highly acclaimed salsa album GL on Sony Records .
In September of 2006 Lamond returned with the release of his highly anticipated new album Oye Mi Canto, bringing a new sound to his music career. The highly anticipated album was a combination of Reggaeton, Bachata, & Salsa with seven songs produced by hot new talent G1E Productionz (G1E PRODUCTIONS) it was only a matter of time before GL made noise again. This album was also released on Sony International. He is known for his lyrical spinto tenor vocal quality not found in most tenors of today.

How could you be so cruel
You treat me like a fool
After all I did for you
You cut me like a blade
My trust is slowly fading
Now I don't know what to do
My life would start to change
Instead I saw that I was wrong
My life was rearanged
How I wonder why
You just put my love aside
You threw me in the gutter and you left me there to lie
You never wanted to start
Cause your just bad of the heart
You never played the game to smart
Cause you know your bad
When I was by your side
You kissed and told me lies
You hurt me each and everyday
I made it through the night
Lying to myself, why did it have to be this way
I thought that when you gave me love
My life would start to change
Instead I saw that I was wrong
My life was rearanged
How I wonder why
You just put my love aside
You threw me in the gutter and you left me there to lie
Bad of the heart
You never wanted to start
Cause your just bad of the heart
Now your tearing me apart
Bad of the heart
You never wanted to start
Cause your just bad of the heart
You really didn't want me baby, oh girl
Bad of the heart
You didn't really want me baby
You never really needed me
Cause your just bad of the heart
(Repeat)
In George Lamond's song "Bad of the Heart," the lyrics describe the pain and hurt caused by a partner who is "bad of the heart." The singer expresses confusion and disappointment about the way he has been treated by this person. He sings about how he believed that their love would change his life, but instead, it has caused him so much pain.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "bad of the heart," which seems to suggest that this person is inherently unable to be a good partner. The lyrics describe how this person "never played the game too smart" and "didn't really want me baby," indicating that they have been careless and selfish in the relationship. Despite all of this, the singer is still struggling to let go and move on.
The overall message of the song is about the difficulty of loving someone who is unable to reciprocate that love in a healthy way. It is a powerful and emotional portrayal of the pain that can come from a toxic relationship.

Dang this dong blew me away when it came out and still blows me away over 30 years later. I remember buying this at Star records in San Francisco and clubbing every weekend bc it was so much fun. Iβm glad they put money into making this video and still looks classy. Really miss those days when it was all about hanging out with good friends and going clubbing.
