Learn to live it as you go
No one in the world can censure
What we do here below
Don't save your kisses, just pass them around
You'll find my reason is logic'lly sound
Who's going to know that you passed them aroundA hundred years from today!
Why crave a penthouse that's fit for a queen
You're nearer Heaven on Mother Earth's green
If you had millions what would they all mean
A hundred years from today
So laugh and sing, make love the thing
Be happy while you may
There's always one, beneath the sun
Who's bound to make you feel that way
The moon is shining, and that's a good sign
Cling to me closer and say you'll be mine
Remember, darling, we won't see it shine
A hundred years from today
A hundred years from today
Don't save your kisses, just pass them around
You'll find my reason is logic'lly sound
Who's going to know that you passed them around
A hundred years from today!
Why crave a penthouse that's fit for a queen
You're nearer heaven on Mother Earth's green
If you had millions what would they all mean
A hundred years from today
So laugh and sing, make love the thing
Be happy while you may
There's always one, beneath the sunWho's bound to make you feel that way
The moon is shining, and that's a good sign
Cling to me closer and say you'll be mine
Remember, darling, we won't see it shine
A hundred years from today
The song "A Hundred Years From Today" by Georgie Auld And His Orchestra is a reminder to live life to the fullest and not worry about the future. The lyrics exude a sense of optimism and joy, encouraging listeners to live in the present moment and not stress about things that won't matter a hundred years from now. The first stanza talks about life being an adventure, and that one should learn to live it as they go. It reminds us that we shouldn't worry about what others think about what we're doing because what we do doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.
The chorus emphasizes the importance of living in the moment and not worrying about the future. It suggests that one should not save their kisses and should pass them around because they won't matter in a hundred years. Similarly, it argues that material wealth doesn't matter in the long run and that one is closer to heaven when they are on Earth's green. The song urges listeners to be happy and to enjoy life while they still can because life is fleeting, and we won't see the moon shine a hundred years from today.
Overall, "A Hundred Years From Today" is a song that reminds us that life is short, and we shouldn't sweat the small stuff. It encourages listeners to live in the present moment, be happy, and not worry about things that don't matter in the long run.
