DAY BY DAY
Get Real Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Every day I wake up

Face the same old shit

Day in and day out

I can't find no exit
Same shit different day

I can't go on like this

But I learn to deal

It's just how I exist

Day after day takes its toll

Repetition is getting old

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Get Real's song Day by Day speak to the constant struggle of living in a never-changing routine. The opening line, "Every day I wake up, Face the same old shit" immediately sets the tone of the song. It's a daily battle to push through the mundane and tedious tasks of life. The repetition of "day in and day out" emphasizes the never-ending nature of this struggle. The line "I can't find no exit" speaks to the feeling of being trapped in this monotony with no way out.

The chorus, "Same shit different day, I can't go on like this, But I learn to deal, It's just how I exist," sums up the overall sentiment of the song. The daily grind is exhausting, but it's something that has to be dealt with for survival. The line "Day after day takes its toll" highlights the toll that repeating the same actions day after day has on a person. It's not sustainable and eventually, something has to give.

Overall, the lyrics of Day by Day capture the feeling of being stuck in a never-changing routine and the struggle to keep going despite the exhaustion it causes.

I'm not sure if it helps but on the topic of playing video games and learning/teaching how to play games, Mass Effect is quite a difficult game to start with, although I do appreciate that they thought their mum would love the sci fi element! ๐Ÿ˜Š

If you'd like some recommendations, I would recommend Spyro Reignited Trilogy, its super fun and a great game no matter your age! The same goes for Journey. And if you're feeling brave, just go for it!

Playstation controllers I find are much easier to learn to use, but Nintendo switch is also user friendly? I've always struggled with xbox controllers however.

I also recommend PlayStation Access or PlayFrame on YouTube, they're family friendly, but also super funny, and you can see all manner of games and get an idea of what you might like to play? Or what someone else might like to play? I hope this might help?

I hope everyone is well, and thank you for reading this ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ

I love that BM has no filter.

And there's no chance of anything coming out about his past because he's so open about things he's done.

The fact that he just openly talked about him being a delinquent (getting put in handcuffs for stealing), that's speaks volumes and was brave considering how judgy Korean Society is.

I hope that he knows that we still support him no matter what, I think everyone has a story and I admire how he tells us his story...

can we take a sec to notice that peniel is wearing the same outfit he wore in kingdom during the dance meet up. idk if he did both on the same day but if he did then go peniel like that must be tiring.

He looks SO good. I found BTOB through Kingdom, then chose Peniel as my bias, then found this podcast. The internet is crazy. ๐Ÿ˜‚

LXX has a point, I think most of us had that moment in our lives when mom isn't even a friend, because of the age, our behavior or any reason, but after that whit the pass of the years and obviously when you get older she becomes one of the best friends you would ever have!! And that's the moment when you broke up the barriers and started acting like two humans, no lies just communicationโค๏ธ thanks guys I really enjoyed this episode ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

BTW, Peniel you look tired get some rest hahahaha
