Ghuleh Zombie Queen
Ghost Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Ghuleh
Ghuleh

Ghuleh
Ghuleh

Putrefaction
A scent that cursed be
Under cold dark dust
From the darkness
Rise a succubus
From the earthen rust

Haresis dea
Once a majesty
Now exposing bone
From the darkness
Rise a succubus
And usurp the throne

The moon is full and shines
An evil blinding light
Under a monolith, her likeness
Marble white

Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh

Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh

Up from the stinking dirt she rises
Ghastly pale
Shapeshifting soon but now she's rigid
stiff and stale

Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh

Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh

Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen

Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Ghuleh / Zombie Queen by Ghost (B.C.) tell the story of a succubus called Ghuleh who rises from the earth's rust and becomes the Zombie Queen. The lyrics suggest that the scent of putrefaction has cursed Ghuleh, and she was once a majesty who is now exposed to the bone. The moon is full and shines an evil blinding light that reveals Ghuleh's likeness, marble white, under a monolith. She is a ghastly pale, shapeshifting creature who rises from the stinking dirt but is now stiff and stale.

The lyrics of Ghuleh / Zombie Queen use dark and haunting imagery to describe the rise of the succubus and her reign as the Zombie Queen. It's evident that she commands the black light which guides her, and she is a symbol of horror and terror. The lyrics effectively tell the story of a powerful and terrifying entity, and the use of vivid descriptions and well-thought-out metaphors enhances the song's overall theme.

The drawings for this album are so insanely beautiful. These could be sketches for a horror theme park or something

@ryanglowacki5252

If you like that then you should take a look at "Baroness" , John Dyer Baizley. He does the album art and you can look at it for half an hour and still see something new, Why are the geese caring nails, is that necklace made of teeth, is that a giant pet shrimp?

@misbaksel5692

@@ryanglowacki5252 Eerie and bewitching and interesting choice of pets. I really get the lady cradling the cephalopod ;-)

@ryanglowacki5252

@@misbaksel5692 Okay one more. Look up a guy named Henry Darger. He may have written 2 of the longest books ever. The short one was 14000 pages. Anyway he did some amazing art that is all cut and paste from adds and news papers because he didn't think he could draw.
