Ghostface Killah is critically acclaimed for his loud, fast-paced flow, and his stream-of-consciousness narratives containing cryptic slang and non-sequiturs.
Ghostface Killah was raised in the Stapleton housing projects in Staten Island, New York. In his autobiographical song "All That I Got Is You", Ghost tells the story of his childhood. He raps about how he grew up in a three bedroom apartment without his father, who left him at the age of six. Apparently, his mother had nine children.
His stage name was taken from one of the characters in the 1979 kung fu film Mystery of Chessboxing.
He was also a close friend of the three founding members of Wu-tang clan

I didn't know how to go along without you
Is it too late?
Did I make a mistake?
Think about the times we shared
Through the good and bad. Don't feel so sad
Is it too late?
Did I make a mistake?
Yeah yeah, did I make a mistake?
No no, is it too late?
Oh oh, did I make a mistake?
Yeah, yeah, uh
Never wanted to get left alone
I didn't know how to go along without you
Is it too late?
Did I make a mistake?
Think about the times we shared
Through the good and bad. Don't feel so sad
Is it too late?
Did I make a mistake?
Yeah yeah, did I make a mistake?
No no, is it too late?
Oh oh, did I make a mistake?
Yeah, yeah, uh
In Ghostface Killah's song Bamboo's Lament, he expresses his regret for the end of a relationship that he did not want to see come to an end. As he recollects the good and bad times shared with this lover, he questions if it's too late to make amends and if he made any mistakes that led to their separation. The repeated lines of "did I make a mistake" and "is it too late" reflect on a sense of resignation and longing for what once was.
Within the context of the song, the bamboo plant serves as a metaphor for the relationship, as bamboo is known for being a fast-growing, durable plant that can weather through even the harshest of conditions. The lament represents the end of something that was once alive and thriving, only to be left behind and withering away. Ghostface Killah's introspective and vulnerable lyrics emphasize the internal struggle of trying to move forward from a relationship that has ended, while simultaneously wanting to reclaim what was lost.

The fact that Spodify took this song off the album took away from the whole reason this album was great. Like it fits perfect with the story Ghost was telling, plus it's just a really good song.
