Ghostface Killah is critically acclaimed for his loud, fast-paced flow, and his stream-of-consciousness narratives containing cryptic slang and non-sequiturs.
Ghostface Killah was raised in the Stapleton housing projects in Staten Island, New York. In his autobiographical song "All That I Got Is You", Ghost tells the story of his childhood. He raps about how he grew up in a three bedroom apartment without his father, who left him at the age of six. Apparently, his mother had nine children.

That nigga pussy, that's why I'm goin' eat that
Live and direct, five Tec's, med hat
Hugh Hef' rows, bang on that out of town nigga 'cause he UFO
Patiently press upon him
Ask him, "who you know? where you from?
What's up Duke?" Watch how you pop ya gum
Empty ya pockets 'fore the cops come
An' don't look back (no), hide if you have to
Dollar vans, just Run into boats if he have to
Even got a .38, don't give me no hassle
When that little brown book in your pocket read Mathew's
Jesus Christ, brothers around here stick together like cheap rice
So Run little doggy, wolves is comin'
Tell him London, he get done in
Flame boy to his brains, hangin' out his onion
In Ghostface Killah’s song Kunta Fly Sh**, he raps about his desire to eliminate his competition and take over their position in the music industry. He boasts about his wealth and weapons, claiming that he is not afraid to use them to get what he wants. He also asserts his dominance over other rappers, calling out one in particular as weak and inferior. Ghostface portrays himself as a vicious predator, ready to pounce on anyone who dares to challenge him.
The opening lines of the song indicate Ghostface’s disdain for weakness and his willingness to take advantage of it. He refers to a rival as “pussy,” suggesting that they lack the courage and toughness necessary to succeed in the rap game. He then boasts about his arsenal of weapons, including five Tec-9 pistols and a medallion shaped like Hugh Hefner’s iconic smoking jacket. These items symbolize power and wealth, which Ghostface uses to intimidate his enemies.
The rest of the song showcases Ghostface’s ruthless tactics for taking down his competition. He instructs his associates to press upon his rival with questioning and intimidation, demanding to know who he is, where he’s from, and what he’s about. Ghostface warns that anyone who stands in his way will be met with violent force, and he shows no mercy towards those who dare to oppose him. The final lines of the song depict Ghostface as a cold-blooded killer, willing to annihilate anyone who poses a threat to his dominance.
Overall, Kunta Fly Sh** is a testament to Ghostface Killah’s aggressive and uncompromising style. He portrays himself as a fearless predator, ready to do whatever it takes to win. The lyrics suggest that Ghostface is not just interested in fame and success, but also in asserting his dominance over the music industry and those who seek to challenge him.
