The First is a two piece production Duo from Tipperary, Ireland, who make Burial inspired, ambient, electronic music. They currently have three Eps; Doxology, NIGHT EP and Judge.

The second are a Hardcore Punk/Thrash band from Sydney. Taking influence from bands like Ceremony and Kirk Van Houten.

The third is a now defunct screamo band from St. Paul, Minnesota. Two of the band's members were previously in An Embrace of Angels. Ghosts broke up in September 2005 and two members continued making music in the band Mr. Sinister!.

The fourth (spelt GHOSTS, all upper-case) is a noise-pop project belonging to Ben Catt (Outside The Museum), who released two collage-like EPs, 'Ghosts' and 'Drum Lakes' through Sheffield's Dear You Records in 2009 and 2010.

The fifth were a highly eclectic post-rock band from the Surrey area, though named Ghosts, their name was always used with a lower case g. Unfortunately, they never got round to recording anything to disc but played some immense live shows - One of which supporting Jenniferever. They disbanded due to continual drummer problems (university, etc.), but are rumoured to be reforming again some time soon under a new name. Members of the band are currently working solo as Quarry Eyes and Echoic.

There is also a sixth one a U.K. based dub group releases include the Album Full Frontal Dublotomy released on the Zander Music Label in 1996.

The seventh were a four-piece melodic rock band from England, formerly known as Polanski. They signed to Atlantic Records in September 2006 and released their debut album "The world is outside" on June 4th, 2007. Ghosts have played in the U.K. at V Festival in Staffordshire and Chelmsford. They were busy writing and recording their second album in a Swedish island of Marstrand however nothing became of it. However on 17th February 2011 they released 2 demos and a press release about their reforming, through myspace (ghostsuk).

My favorite part of this song is the first half with the organ. It is comically unsettling near the end of the organ solo, because as the right hand phases out of time with the left hand, it makes you feel like the undead organist is not only trying to hold the music together, but also his decaying body as well, like he is trying his hardest, but that is the best he can muster out.
But seriously, huge props to the organist who recorded this, if he managed to play his hands out of sync, that's some real skill.

In the Ghost Gallery, the semi-canonical backstory of the Walt Disney World Haunted Mansion, the organist committed suicide after his hands were crushed in an accident, preventing him from playing music ever again. I can definitely see him constantly trying to straighten his gnarled hands, and falling behind the tempo like you described!

This ride should be the 8th wonder of the world. It is absolutley mind boggling the amount of thought, story, imagination, and sheer love that was put into every aspect of this attraction. Nothing was rushed. Everything was looked over meticulously. Ive only expeirinced this ride once, but i tell you, if you haven't been on the haunted mansion you wouldn't understand how immersive and unbelievable it is. The feeling you get walking into the stretching room for the first time is unforgettable. The whole ride is unforgettable. I cant wait for the day i get to go back and experience this peice of art. Disney really knew what they were doing.

Makes me want to visit Disneyland real soon! Terrific full version of Grim Grinning Ghosts, including the great voices of narrator Paul Frees and bass singer Thurl Ravenscroft, best known as the voice of Kellogg's Tony the Tiger and for his singing in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" cartoon. Checking Mr. Ravenscroft's biography, I found he also sang on Rosemary Clooney's "This Ole House" & Andy Williams' "12 Days of Christmas" (which I've heard every Xmas since I was a kid!). True story. I had planned on going to disney for months. I had scheduled 09-12-01 to go. You already know what happened the day before. The park was nearly empty and I was able to ride everything I wanted several times. Went on this ride by myself with no one else anywhere on this ride except for the employees. The damn thing broke down right at the coffin and was stuck there for awhile. It has been scary to me since.

Funfact, madam leota and the Little leota you see as you exit are actually played by a mother and daughter. The mother was one of the origin imagineers for the ride and was used for the crystal ball leota. And years later her daughter became an imagineer and ended up becoming the face of little Leota because they looked so similar.

i haven't heard this in at least a decade, and i've only heard it once before. it was in this one specific section of that toy story 3 video game on the wii. i LOVED that game, and this song stuck with me in my subconscious apparently because i couldn't help but remember it in its entirety when i heard this recently.

If you don't know this already, the first guy to sing is Thurl Ravenscroft, one of the Tony the Tiger voice actors who voiced him for over 50 years. The song is written in the same manner that the Pirate of the Caribbean "Yo Ho" songs was. It's designed so that no matter where the rider is in the ride it all makes sense. The song is designed to run on a never ending loop.

The end of the song is especially creepy because I was told that, according to the ride, the only way to leave the mansion is to die first. And right after this song, the ride goes over a balcony, making it look like the riders are 'committing suicide'.
