Members of the band are currently working solo as Quarry Eyes and Echoic.

They signed to Atlantic Records in September 2006 and released their debut album "The world is outside" on June 4th, 2007. Ghosts have played in the U.K. at V Festival in Staffordshire and Chelmsford. They were busy writing and recording their second album in a Swedish island of Marstrand however nothing became of it. However on 17th February 2011 they released 2 demos and a press release about their reforming, through myspace (ghostsuk).

Not always right but I mean well
Something's wrong so come on and
Tell me what it is you need
Don't pick a fight, not in the mood,
It's not the time or the place well
What's got in you? You seem to
Make it up to bring me down
And I know you can't let go
But let's make the most of the weekend
You pretend the clock's gone back again,
I'll pretend it's nothing if you just stop
Just stop
Why don't you ever stop?
You never stop,
I can't begin to work out what you're thinking
I'll give it up coz it's not like you would ever let me win
You're not making sense please help me see
What I am meant to be feelng
What's the problem,
You gotta bring it up or let me be
And I know you can't let go
But let's make the most of the weekend
You pretend the clock's gone back again,
I'll pretend it's nothing if you just stop
Just stop
Why don't you ever stop?
Just stop
(you're bugging me)
Why don't you ever stop?
In the song "Stop" by Ghosts, the singer is asking their partner to stop their constant negative behavior and to communicate what is bothering them in a productive way. The singer admits that they may not always be perfect, but they mean well and just want to enjoy their time together. However, their partner seems to make up problems and bring them down, causing tension between them. The singer pleads with their partner to stop and enjoy the weekend, but their partner continues to nag and push buttons.
The lyrics display a struggle between two people in a relationship. One person is trying to maintain a positive attitude while the other seemingly goes out of their way to create issues. The singer is frustrated and wants their partner to stop so they can enjoy their time together. The line "You pretend the clock's gone back again, I'll pretend it's nothing if you just stop" suggests that the couple may have had good times in the past, and the singer is trying to get back to that place.
Overall, "Stop" is a plea for communication and for one partner to stop the negative behavior that is causing the relationship to suffer.
