Ending
Ghouls and Ghosts Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Numberless stars dot a pitch black sky
Colorless for eternity
Where there are beginnings
They will cease
As is the way of life
We may find light
But none is everlasting
We'd swear the stars were brighter
One day you'd hop on a plane to find her

She was yours forever
She was a ghost in your mind

Overall Meaning

This song by Ghouls and Ghosts is about seizing the moment and not waiting for the perfect opportunity to make something happen. The lyrics are asking the listener to take control of their life and not let their fears hold them back. The opening lines ask a series of questions, questioning what the listener is waiting for - a lightning strike, the perfect night, or the right time. The song is urging them not to wait any longer and to face their fears head-on.

The chorus emphasizes the need to reach for the top, to believe in every dream and not be afraid of failure. The repetition of the question, "what are you waiting for?" repeats this message that the time to act is now. The bridge reinforces this message, stating that everyone will make mistakes, but everyone has a choice to make and should take that leap of faith.

Overall, this song is an encouragement to live life fully and not let fear hold you back from your dreams. It is a call to action, urging listeners to take control of their life and make the most of it.

It's amazing how pathetically easy this boss is. You'd think that it would be a challenge considering Lucifer is practically the god of all demons.

always thought this music (with Loki) would be good for an execution would really make the guilty even more scared, goes perfect with it. Also, the music after her soul returns to her body when they embrace is really good quality wise too

Siendo pequeño fui testigo de cómo mis hermanos y mi primo se pasaban este juego. Qué recuerdos, señor...

Last week I went to a retro arcade place in Tokyo. A Japanese guy in his 40s was fighting this boss, kicked his ass and then casually left his seat, leaving the ending running for us to see. So yes, technically it's possible to finish this game without any savestates!

Great ending music theme! It's what brought me here... Great game!
