Gichy Dan 'the group' best known for Cowboys & Gangsters, written and produced by Rogers after reforming under his direction; featuring lead singer Frank 'pago pago' Passalacqua Both signed to Ze in 1980. Label released a solo EP with Rogers as well. According to the official Kid Creole website, Frank 'Gichy Dan' Passalacqua died of AIDS in a year that is kept anonymous.

hard to disagree with that! utterly brilliant, as was it antecedent, Deputy of Love. This track was intended as an 'answer' to the other. Both tracks emanated from the same broad group of music in NY. I believe August Darnell (Kid Creole) was involved in production for both Gichy Dan and Don Armando's

@@alexanderSydneyOz Thanks for the info! Just listened again to this video / version and I must say i prefer the seemingly remixed / remastered version on the sampler "Mutant Disco". Has more "snap" / cranked up dynamics. Makes my hip pop with 25% more energy :-)
