I have been listening to this for a year or so, since shortly after the break-up of my 6-year relationship with the girl I love most in this world. Even though I never listened to this song before the relationship ended, it somehow encapsulates and reminds me of the beauty of the love that I had during those six years... it somehow draws out the memories that otherwise seem lost in the depths of my mind. So, even though it is so beautiful to listen to, is is also so painful and emotional. I still don't understand how some pieces of music are like works of art that evoke certain emotions, but this song is one of them...

Hey, I don't want to sound cliché, but... you experienced something for six years that a lot of people won't ever have the pleasure of, whether that be through misfortune or simply fear of putting themself out there... In a world becoming less and less appreciative of devotion and long-lasting connections, consider yourself lucky to have fostered something real, regardless of the time frame. You seem to have a positive mindset about it and are able to reflect on the good parts of your relationship with her... Just keep looking forward. I guarantee you'll find someone worth it again. Nomz thank you for the lovely comment, I think that's one of the nicest and most positive things that I've ever read on YouTube. You're right... even though it may not have lasted forever, what I experienced is very special, and something that many may never get the pleasure of experiencing, and for that I'm grateful. While I am hopeful of being able to feel that way again eventually, it's certainly soul destroying when that love you had leaves you, because it seems to take a part of who you are with it. Still, supposedly time heals all wounds, and hopefully we can become better people for the struggles that we manage to overcome...

4 years passed alongside her-its now been almost 2 without her, yet my mind has began to open again. I was lucky enough to feel love, to feel that I would give the world for that person, even in my stupidness, I was lucky. They say everything happens for a reason, Im not sure it does, but I travelled alone for moths and found myself after breaking up, after panic attacks, after depression. And now, I feel I can find love again, not for the sake of it, but to experience what I did then, with someone true and for life. You too will reach that point-we always tend to set our minds back to those 'golden days' and you will always have given a piece of your heart to her, but theres so much more we can all give.
