In My Mind
Gil T Lyrics

But then I found out that it was your specialty
You said you'd give me everything but
Instead you gave me all to everyone but me
And it was plain to see
But now I know better I have to move on
[Chorus]
I'll find another baby
No more lies and maybes
Now I'm taking back what's mine
Find another baby
And I'll be better off this time
So you can be wherever
Still you're never on my mind
I threw out all my memories of you
As they fell to the ground the sun came shining in
Black and white has turned to color
With a single breath I feel my life begin
Now it's the time to win
It's the end of this story cause I'm moving on
[Chorus]
(Never on my mind) x 4
But now I know better I have to move on
Oh yeah Oh yeah yeah yeah
[Chorus]
Never on my mind [Repeat to fade]
The lyrics of "In My Mind" by Gil T describe a relationship that was once filled with hope and promise, but ultimately turned out to be a disappointment. At first, the singer is made to feel special by their partner, but soon realizes that this is simply their partner's modus operandi. The partner promises everything but fails to deliver, giving everything to others except the singer. The singer realizes that their partner is not emotionally available and that they have to move on to find someone who truly values them. The chorus emphasizes the singer's determination to find a new partner who will treat them better and the desire to forget their old lover.
The imagery in the song is powerful. The line "I threw out all my memories of you/As they fell to the ground the sun came shining in" suggests that letting go of this toxic relationship is a cathartic experience, allowing the singer to see the world in a new light. The singer has shed the memories of their destructive relationship, and with that, they can finally move on and see life in a new and more positive way. The song ends on a positive note, with the singer declaring that their previous partner will never be on their mind again.

Those Formation Landings were still some of the most impressive Maneuvers performed by The Blues and I count myself lucky to see it every year at MCAS El Toro ...

Agreed. Several teams, including the Blues and the Snowbirds used to do these mass formation landings. I don't believe that any of them do it any longer. Probably a good thing. It's impressive.....but probably not smart.

Im so thankful to grow up watching the Blues fly over my house during practice my whole life. The shows are amazing and the pilots are great people.

I remember when I was 16 watching the premiere of Van Halen's Dreams video and watching all of the maneuvers in amazement, and then at the end watching the Delta landing. I had never really seen their maneuvers documented until that video. Evidently, Eddie Van Halen was a big fan of the Blue's. I think his studio 5150 was even painted up to resemble an aircraft carrier. Great short, Ryan!! 😁👍
