Thank you very much Ash! It is a great name isn't it! The 'clumps' themselves are a couple of old groups of beech trees that grow on top of iron-age forts here, and themselves make nice photographic subjects. A very interesting place! S.

Thanks Alan, I had meant to visit a lot more, as when we first moved here we lived in Abingdon, but after we moved to Charlbury it was just that little bit too far away (and then we had the pandemic too!). It’s well worth a visit though! S

Steph's similar images on Instagram are, indeed, lovely though I have had a revelation by comparing yours at the same time. I now know that the reason I'm never so crazy about Instagram is that you don't get the same emotion and depth that you do watching music-augmented videos with the artist explaining more about the location, how they felt at the time and their goal for the image. Galleries leave me a little flat for the same reason. I'm happy to discover that so thank you! I think my favorite of this series is the one at 3:15 because I love the light without the actual sun in this case. It was worth the trip before you move on!

Thank you very much Juanita! I completely agree, and it is one of the reasons I like to make YouTube videos. I’m actually not a big fan of Instagram, it’s definitely not the best place to show/view images, especially the kinds of images I normally like to take, but it has it’s place. I enjoy being able to tell more of the story behind my images on YouTube though! S

I lived in Abingdon when I first moved to Oxford so it was really convenient, and I also enjoyed heading into the Chilterns. Yes, we’re currently in the process of moving to Wester-Ross in the highlands. Looking forward to the landscapes and wildlife up there, but I’ll certainly miss some of the landscapes down here as well! S

Lovely atmospheric images Sam. Do you find that the improved dynamic range of the R5 means that you don't need to bracket images as often as before, as one exposure is usually enough? I wonder because that's what I've noticed with my R6 (upgrading from EOS 80D).

Hi Mark, thank you very much! Yes definitely, The dynamic range is a big step up compared to the 5Diii. Actually, although I mentioned I was bracketing in this video, none of the final images that were shown were bracketed! S

Thanks Alan! Yes, it’s been on the cards for a while but we were putting it off until the price came down a little! We decided to take advantage of the Double Cashback offer in November though. I haven’t actually had many opportunities to use it yet, been very busy with the move and finishing up experiments in the lab, but it has featured in the last couple of videos. We’re moving up to the highlands this week though, so I’m looking forward to putting it through it’s paces on some Torridonian hills! 😀 S
