With headphones in hand, he followed 2006’s Van’s Warped Tour, selling 2,000 copies at 20 stopsacross the country. In mere months, he shared the stage with such acts as Butch Walker, The Matches, The Higher, Lydia, Better Than Ezra, Collective Soul, Anna Nalick, Howie Day, Never Heard of it, Jupiter Sunrise, Wheatus, Brandston, Melee, Brighten, Danger Radio, Mayday Parade, Sister Hazel, Ronnie Day, Secondhand Serenade, Meg and Dia, Daphne Loves Derby, The Bravery, Sugarcult, Waking Ashland, The Velvet Teen, Tesla, and many more. Packing clubs around Sacramento, Ryan felt the urge to expand his one-man-act into a full, hard-hitting band, adding Los Angeles area band members Jimmy Marvich, Justin Ivey, Tyler Thompson, and Jake Harrison. The stellar addition of these musicans has taken the music to an exciting new level, earning them attention from major music labels, and showcasing for Atlantic, Downtown, and J Records, with more to come.
With soulful melodies, powerful, dead-on vocals, and lyrics so relatable
they will bring a person back in time to an experience similarly shared. Ryan brings beautiful, quirky music right down to earth.

I'm covered in rain but it feels just like it's the sun
And it don't get me down, don't come around
You're better off leavin' town
I'm fine here alone now without you
Hey! i'm screamin' at you
Hey! don't care enough to write you a letter now that i'm doin' better alone
Hey! don't care enough to write you a letter now that i'm doin' better
Better off without you
You're stuck in a world of make believe and i can't see it
I gave it a chance, you must be crazy not to leave
You're never gonna bring me down, don't come around
You're better off leavin' town
I'm fine here alone now without you
Hey! i'm screamin' at you
Hey! don't care enough to write you a letter now that i'm doin' better alone
Hey! i'm screamin' at you
Hey! don't care enough to write you a letter now that i'm doin' better
Better off without you
I'm givin' it up now, you're taking away hey
(all my time) all of my time now, get out of my way hey
You never meant much to anyone, it's me they want
Without you i'm the same
So hear me now, i'm screamin' out your name
Hey! i'm screamin' at you
Hey! don't care enough to write you a letter now that i'm doin' better alone
Hey! i'm screamin' at you
Hey! don't care enough to write you a letter now that i'm doin' better
Better off without you
The lyrics to Gillmor's song "Hey!" depict a newfound independence and strength after a breakup. The singer is counting the days since they started living without their former partner and is covered in rain, but it feels like the sun. This may symbolize the pain and sadness that comes with the end of a relationship, but despite that, the singer finds joy and happiness in their newfound independence.
The chorus has a powerful message as the singer screams out "Hey!" to their former partner. They don't care enough to write a letter now that they're doing better alone. This indicates that the singer has moved on and no longer needs their former partner's validation or approval. The lyrics suggest that the former partner is stuck in a world of make-believe and that the singer can't see it. This may suggest that the former partner was not genuine and that the singer has now found clarity and truth after the breakup.
The repeated line "Better off without you" is empowering, as it shows that the singer has come to realize that they are indeed better off without their former partner. Overall, the lyrics of "Hey!" are a powerful statement of independence and strength, showing that the singer has moved on and found contentment without their former partner.
