I feel bad for Ginger in general. Back in s7, literally 60-70% of the queens disliked Violet and Pearl / thought they were conceited, but Ginger was the one who got thrown under the bus and received all that hate from Violet/Pearl stans just because she lasted until the end. And then she gets a second chance on all stars and gets undeserved hate AGAIN.

idk i can’t think of anything A looot of that was exaggerated for tv drama. If you really think about it, their only real crime was disliking them and talking shit about them a lot to each other. Which is still petty, immature behaviour, but not bad enough that they deserve to be villainized for the rest of their careers.

Watching this I really feel for Ginger. It makes me even more sad how upset she was about Trixie's shade. As much as I love Trixie, Ginger's story doesn't exactly paint her in the best light. This isn't the first time Trixie got possessive about "best" friends... when Robbie Turner said that she and Kim Chi were friends at the Drag Con panel last year, Trixie snapped back, "Oh, so Kim Chi's your best friend, that's really cool..."
Yes, of course it's all comedy, but there seems to be a bit of aggressiveness underneath Trixie's insistence that only she can have Kim Chi and Katya as BFFs.

She might just be insecure -- and I don't think insecurity is as one-dimensional and shameful as society likes to paint it. As a person who's never managed to hang on to a friend for more than a couple of years, I know the terror you feel if/when you realize that someone you care for seems to be replacing you, or if you notice that you're a lower priority for them than they are for you. That fear can manifest itself in all kinds of ways, such as the comments you've mentioned Trixie making. Behaving possessively over another person, no matter the motive, is always wrong. But making a small comment in hopes of hearing the other person confirm that your fear isn't true? That's understandable.

Kalleidoscape while that’s true, I can also understand it. Mainly because my best friend is very possessive of me. She obviously lets me have other friends because she doesn’t control me but she prefers to be my priority and it’s not selfish, it’s her own personal problems. A lot to do with her family life and her old friends. With Trixie I feel like it could stem from the same kind of thing, if you get where I’m coming from. It doesn’t excuse it but it’s hard to change, and even realising and accepting it is pretty difficult.

What got me about all of this was how Katya seemed so bitchy about it when Trixie asked her about the friendship with Ginger. I just felt bad for Ginger the way Katya made out as though the glamour toad was fangirling her - when clearly that wasn't the case.

I felt bad for Ginger. She really is a lot nicer than the edit showed. She liked Katya a lot, as many do, and she probably isn't able to make as many friends because she comes off really harsh at first.

I genuinely thought it was Ginger Minj's win in s7. But sadly she didnt even aftr slaying all season long. I get that Violet's drag is exquisite and high fashion and I really like Violet but what cracks me up is that they dont give Ginger the credit she deserves for the talent she has. Honestly, as a trixya shipper and drag race fan, i am so shocked at how many ppl had a problem with ginger and katya being best friends. THEY WERE! They are probably still amazing friends, and you can have more than one best friend!
