1. Girl Talk is the stage name of Gregg Gillis (born October 26, 1981). Gillis, who is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has released five CD albums on Illegal Art and vinyl releases on 333 and 12 Apostles. He began making music while a student at Case Western Reserve University. He specializes in sample-based remixes, in which he uses at least a dozen elements from different songs to create a new song. At his early shows, Gillis became notorious for his exhibitionist antics on stage, spontaneously removing most or all of his clothing mid-performance. He has given different explanations for the origin of his stage name, once saying it alluded to a Jim Morrison poem and once saying it alluded to an early Merzbow side project. He has also stated that "Girl Talk" is simply the opposite of what one would think when picturing a man playing music with a laptop.
Girl Talk was featured in Good Copy Bad Copy and Rip! A Remix Manifesto; both documentary films about copyright/fair use.
2. Girl Talk is the name of a British 80's eurodisco duo consisting of sisters Karen & Julie Wright.
3. Girl Talk is the name of an 80's synth-pop/Hi-NRG trio consisting of members Denise Rosner, Leslie Perkins and Stacy Dunne. They released their debut album Talk Crazy To Me in 1986 with CBS/Sony Records.
4. Girl Talk is the name of a Norwegian jazz trio. The band was formed by Bodil Niska in 1992, and consists of Elizabeth Walker on the piano and Tine Asmundsen on the bass. Their first album, Talkin' Jazz, was recorded in 1992.

If you don't give a damn, we don't give a fuck (HEY)
If you don't give a damn, we don't give a fuck (HEY)
If you don't give a damn, we don't give a fuck (HEY)
Don't start no shit it won't be no shit
Don't start no shit it won't be no shit
Don't start no shit it won't be no shit
Don't start no shit it won't be no shit!
A-oo
Hey!
Don't start no shit it won't be no shit
A-oo
Hey!
Don't start no shit it won't be no shit
Shorty in down, good Lord
Baby got em up open all over town
Strictly biz, she don't play around
Cover much ground, got game by the pound
(Flashing lights, lights)
Getting paid is a forte
Each and every day, true player way
I can't get her out of my mind
(Flashing lights, lights)
(what)
I think about the girl all the time
East side to the west side
Pushing phat rides, it's no surprise
She got tricks in the stash
Stacking up the cash
Fast when it comes to the gas
By no means average
As long as she's got to have it
Baby, you're a perfect ten, I wanna get in
Can I get down, so I can win
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up
I pulled into Nazareth, I was feelin' about half past dead (It's goin' down)
I just need some place where I can lay my head (It's goin' down)
Hey, mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed? (It's goin' down)
He just grinned and shook my hand, and \"No!\", was all he said (Anywhere you need, you're guarenteed to get down)
Take a load off Annie, take a load for free
Take a load off Annie, and...
They wanna be like me
Recreate my flow, imitate my flow, then relate my flow
By while they try and take my flow I make my dough
Ay, yo, I can make it rain, 'cause I been making it snow
But yo, I been takin' it slow I wasn't around
But the car crash couldn't lay the hustla down
I'm still here for real, I'm still here
It wasn't looking pretty, but Swizzy I'm still here
They said I coulda been brain-dead in a wheelchair
But I'm standin' in the booth and the skills are still here
Yeah, the hustla home, the hustla home
Let's celebrate a toast with a cup of patron
I got my drink and my two step
My drink and my two step
Got my drink and my two step
My drink and my two step
It's on, it's on, it's on and I'm home
Get the patron and tell them that it's on
I got my drink and my two step
My drink and my two step
Got my drink and my two step
My drink and my two step
It's on, it's on, it's on and I'm home
Get the patron and tell them that it's on
Oh shit, oh shit
Beat, beat knockin'
Club, club rockin'
Oh shit, oh shit
Beat, beat, knockin'
Club, club knockin'
Oh shit, oh shit
Beat, beat knockin'
Club, club rockin'
Oh shit, oh shit
Beat, beat, knockin'
Oh shit, oh shit
Oh shit, oh shit
Oh shit, oh shit
Oh shit, oh shit
That's not it
All the hoes jock-jockin, beat steady knock-knockin
Middle of the stage got the whole club rock-rockin
All the hoes jock-jockin, beat steady knock-knockin
Middle of the stage got the whole club rock-rockin
The lyrics to Girl Talk's song "Still Here" are a mix of different music genres and samples. The repeated verse "If you don't give a damn, we don't give a fuck" expresses indifference towards negative comments or opinions. The song seems to be about the artist proving his worth and skill despite criticism and challenges. The verse "They wanna be like me, recreate my flow, imitate my flow, then relate my flow" indicates that the artist is aware of others trying to copy his style, but he is not deterred by this, stating "I make my dough" as a way of showing his success.
The chorus repeats the phrase "I got my drink and my two step" over and over, emphasizing a celebratory tone and possibly referencing enjoying success and freedom. The line "It's goin' down" mixed in with the chorus can be interpreted as the excitement and energy of being at a party or club. The song's lyrics jump between different musical samples, including a verse from the famous song "No Diggity" by Blackstreet, creating a hodgepodge of lyricism, sound, and style.
Overall, "Still Here" is an anthem about overcoming adversity and criticism while maintaining a celebratory and care-free attitude. The song's composition, mixing and arrangements reflect the "mashup" genre of Girl Talk's work, which incorporates many different musical genres and samples, into a cohesive unit.
