(Oh, ooh)
Ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh

We're steppin' out, we're puttin' it all about
And the night is young
It's getting light, we been funkin' through the night
And the heat is on

First you gotta live it, then you gotta dig it
If you want to win it, you gotta lose it, baby
First you gotta move it, then you gotta prove it
If you're gonna do it, you're going

Koo koo, outta your brain goin' insane
You're like a see saw up then down round and round
We got the chi chi, keepin' it clean, diggin' the scene
You got the ooh, ooh, ain't gonna drop
Let's keep the girls on top

Let's keep the girls on top
It's gettin' late, and we're still lookin' great
And thae beat is strong
One thing ya learn is you just gotta burn
When the heat is on, heat is on

(Repeat bridge & chorus)
When you reach the top
You ain't never gonna want to come down
When you reach the top
You ain't never gonna want to come down
When you reach the top
You ain't never gonna want to come down

T-O-P, yeah, to the top, stop
(Repeat chorus twice)
Ooh, ooh (the girls, let's keep the girl on top)
Ooh, ooh (the girls on top)
Let's keep the girls on top
Ooh, ooh
Let's keep the girls on top
Ooh ooh, (Let's keep the girls on top)
The girls on top
Ooh, ooh
Let's keep the girls on top

Ooh, ooh
Let's keep the girls on top

Girlthing were a good girlband. I still have their CD after all these years.
This song deserved more credit than it got, and these girls were not given a fair chance by their record manager.
It's sad a talented girlband went to waste.

cambed71

such a classic song. it did so bad here in Australia - I think it reached in the 40s but should have been up the top of the charts. I mean if B*Witched Rollercoaster could get to number 1 then this should have too. Lots of good songs like I'm like a Bird, Don't Stop Movin', S Club Party and Shackles Praise You got to number 2 in Australia but not number one, it's shocking

Space Bunny

B*Witched was more organic in terms of style and personality, they didn’t come across as fake, didn’t imitate anyone, They had their Irish sound, and the double denim look, meanwhile Girl Thing was trying too hard to be the Spice Girls- copied their looks, copied their music videos, and they didn’t gel like a girl gang vibe… they filmed a segment of them living in a house together but it was very cringey, and forced..

LukeyOxO

I learnt this dance when I was like 12. It isn't that hard! haha
