Somebody To Love
Glee Cast怀 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Can anybody find me somebody to love?

Each morning I get up I die a little
Can barely stand on my feet
Take a look in the mirror and cry
Lord what you're doing to me
I spent all my years believing you
But I just can't get no relief, Lord!
Somebody, oh somebody
Can anybody find me somebody to love?

Got no feel, I got no rhythm
I just keep losing my beat
I'm OK, I'm alright
I ain't gonna face no defeat
I just gotta get out of this prison cell
Someday I'm gonna be free, Lord!

[Repeat: x7]
(Find me somebody to love)

Can anybody find me somebody to love?

Somebody find me oh
Somebody find me

Somebody love
Somebody, somebody to love

Well sometimes I go out by myself
And I look across the water
And I think of all the things, what you're doing
And in my head I paint a picture
Cos since I've come on home,
Well my body's been a mess
And I've missed your ginger hair
And the way you like to dress
Won't you come on over
Stop making a fool out of me
Why don't you come on over Valerie?
Valerie? Valerie? Valerie?
Did you have to go to jail,
Put your house up on for sale, did you get a good lawyer?
I hope you didn't catch a tan,
I hope you'll find the right man who'll fix it for ya
And are you shoppin' anywhere,
Changed the color of you hair, are you busy?
And did you have to pay the fine
You were dodging all the time, are you still dizzy?
Cos, Since I've come on home,
Well my body's been a mess
And I've missed your ginger hair
And the way you like to dress
Won't you come on over
Stop making a fool out of me
Why don't you come on over Valerie?
Valerie? Valerie? Valerie?

Valerie? Valerie? Valerie? Valerie?
Oh Valerie? Valerie? Valerie?
Why don't you come on over Valerie?

My family took a cruise last November, and at the karaoke bar, a girl named Marisol from our area got up and sang this. She absolutely crushed it! If you’re ever in Albany, NY at a karaoke night, and a lovely tattooed young lady named Marisol gets up, you’re in for a real treat. What a solid performance!

@ameliyaakram1465

I remember that in Rickmansworth school, a girl sang this song for the autumn concert and she was amazing. Wherever you are now i hope u keep singing!

@Soup38520

I’m singing this for my audition for the school play next week, I’m not a great singer but I have a chance given I’ve heard the voices or everyone else going for it

@ashes2ashley230

I REALLY wish we had a clean version of the Bruno Mars cover

@harinainia2873

@@Soup38520how did it go?

@Soup38520

@@harinainia2873 I didn’t get the parts I wanted ( the play was the little mermaid ) but one part I auditioned for was scuttle and I got one of the seagulls that’s with him tho:) and I’m a narrator

@worriedpink

@Soup38520 I bet you were an awesome seagull and narrator. Everyone has to start at the bottom and work their way up. As long as it's something your passionate about, time will fly and next thing you know your on top and doing great. Keep it up.

@KAIthemountainghoulsimp

Literally came here just to share my success in playing this song(my role was the bass guitarist). My parents didn’t think much of it and thought it was stupid and my interest in music was also dumb so I came here to see if anyone might be proud of me ❤️ 😢

@karenbowe6834

I'm really proud of you.
