Overthinking and making things more complicated than they need to be can cause unnecessary stress and doubt.

Hating or holding onto anger towards oneself is exhausting and detrimental to mental health.

Fighting against and overcoming one's negative inner voice and past experiences takes effort and would not have been achieved without taking action.

Navigating through the criticism or judgment of others is daunting but shouldn't be the sole focus, instead focusing on simple pleasures helps to relieve the anxiety or stress.

Trying too hard to meet the expectations of others or society is futile and consumes more time than it should.

Done looking for the critics, 'cause they're everywhere
Critics or detractors are all around and will always have something to say hence ignoring them and focusing on one's own personal growth is more important.

They don't like my jeans, they don't get my hair
Critics or detractors will find fault in any aspect, no matter how minor, so don't pay attention to their baseless opinions.

We change ourselves and we do it all the time
We often change or adjust ourselves to better fit in with the expectations of others or society.

Why do we do that? Why do I do that?
Questioning why we continue to conform to external expectations despite it not making us happy.
