Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...yeah!

I'm in the club, with my homies
Tryn'a get a lil' V-I, keep it down on the low key (Low key)
'Cause you know how it is (Woah)
I saw the shorty, she was checkin' up on me (On me)
From the game she was spittin' in my ear, you would think that she knew me (Think she knew me)
I decided to chill (Chill in my crib with my homies)

Conversation got heavy (Chill out in my crib, in my crib)
She had me feelin' like she's ready to blow (Watch out down below, down below, down below)
Oh! (Watch out!)
She was saying, come get me (Come and get with me, dance with me, dance with me)
So I got up and followed her to the floor (Followed her to the floor)
She said, baby, let's go (Baby, let's go)
When I told her I said (Let's go!)

(Yeah, yeah, yeah) Shorty got down low, said come and get me
(Yeah, yeah, yeah) I got so caught up, I forgot she told me
(Yeah, yeah, yeah) Her and my girl used to be the best of homies
(Yeah, yeah, yeah) Next thing I knew, she was all up on me screamin'
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...yeah!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...yeah!

She's all up in my head now (Oooh)
Got me thinkin' that it might be a good idea to take her with me (With me)
'Cause she's ready to leave (Ready to leave)
(Let's go!)
Now, I gotta keep it real now
'Cause on a one-to-ten, she's a certified twenty (Twenty)
And that just ain't me, yeah...!

'Cause I don't know if I take that chance just where it's gonna lead
But what I do know is the way she dance makes shorty alright with me
The way she gettin' low, I'm like, yeah, work that out for me
She asked for one more dance
And I'm like yeah
How the hell am I supposed to leave?
And I said (Yeah!)

(Yeah, yeah) Shorty got down low, said come and get me
(Yeah, yeah) I got so caught up I forgot she told me
(Yeah, yeah) Her and my girl used to be the best of homies
(Yeah, yeah) Next thing I knew, she was all up on me screamin' (Watch out!)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...yeah!
Knows how to party
Girl listen, knows how to party
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...yeah!
Watch yourself
To the window, to the wall!
Show me what you're workin' with

Watch out! My outfit's ridiculous
In the club lookin' so conspicuous
And rowl! These women all on the prowl
Try to sing against us, have to throw in the towel
Forget about the game, I spit the truth
I won't stop 'till I get 'em in they birthday suits
So gimme the rhythm and we be hittin' the pole
Then bend over to the front and touch your toes
I'm reppin' the ladies who got the flow
And when I'm through you'll be screamin' for more (Let's go!)
How you like me now?
When my pinky's valued over three hundred thousand
No it ain't, girl, it's from the Dollar Store!
But when it hits the light, you'll be all like wow!
Usher wants more, when we leaves 'em dead
You know you wanna kiss on the lips so red

Chill out in the crib
Take me home, we'll do it again
Usher got the beat, got the beat, we got the beat

Yeah, yeah, yeah...
Usher got the beat, got the beat, we got the beat

Overall Meaning

The Glee Cast's rendition of Usher's "Yeah!" is a party anthem that tells the story of a night out on the town. The song begins with Usher hyping up the crowd and setting the scene for the story to come. The first verse describes his initial encounter with a woman in the club who caught his eye. She's spitting game at him, and he's feeling it. In the chorus, he describes how she got down low, and he got so caught up in the moment that he forgot she previously had a relationship with one of his homies. But he can't resist her, so he follows her to the floor, and they dance the night away.

In the second verse, Usher sings about how the woman is still on his mind, and he's thinking about taking her home with him. However, he admits that he's hesitant to take a chance on her because he doesn't know where it will lead. Nevertheless, he can't get her out of his head, and he's mesmerized by the way she dances. The chorus repeats the opening lines again, followed by a bridge where Lil Jon adds his signature catchphrase and Ludacris drops a verse.

The overall message of the song is to let go and have a good time. It's a song about living in the moment, forgetting your worries, and enjoying yourself. As Usher says in the chorus, "Yeah!" - let's go!
