Singing In the Rain / Umbrella
Glee Cast (Feat. Gwyneth Paltrow) Lyrics

(Uh-huh, uh-huh) Good girl gone bad
(Uh-huh, uh-huh) Take three... action!
(Uh-huh, uh-huh) Woah!
You have my heart
And we'll never be worlds apart
May be in magazines
Baby, 'cause in the dark
You can't see shiny cars
And that's when you need me there
With you I'll always share
'Cause I
I'm singin' in the rain (We'll shine together)
Just singin' in the rain (We'll be forever)
What a glorious feeling (Be a friend)
And I'm happy again (Stick it out 'til the end)
I'm laughing at clouds (More than ever)
So dark, up above (We'll share each other)
I'm singin', singin' in the rain (Umbrella)
You can stand under my umbrella (Ella, ella, eh eh eh)
Under my umbrella (Ella, ella, eh eh eh eh eh eh)
These fancy things
Will never come in between
You're part of my entity
Here for infinity
When the world has took its part
When the world has dealt its cards
If the hand is hard
Together we'll mend your heart
'Cause I
I'm singin' in the rain (We'll shine together)
Just singin' in the rain (We'll be forever)
What a glorious feeling (Be a friend)
And I'm happy again (Stick it out 'til the end)
I'm laughing at clouds (More than ever)
So dark, up above (We'll share each other)
I'm singin', singin' in the rain (Umbrella)
You can stand under my umbrella (Umbrella)
Ella, ella, eh eh eh (Just singin' in the rain)
Under my umbrella (What a glorious feeling)
Ella, ella, eh eh eh (And I'm happy again)
Under my umbrella (I'm laughing at clouds)
Ella, ella, eh eh eh (So dark, up above)
Under my umbrella (I'm singin')
Ella, ella, eh eh eh eh eh eh (Singin' in the rain...)
It's rainin', rainin'
Ooh, baby it's rainin', rainin'
Baby, come here to me
Come here to me
It's rainin', rainin'
Ooh, baby it's rainin', rainin' (More than ever)
Baby, come here to me
Come here to me
It's rainin', rainin' (I'm singin' in the rain)
Ooh, baby it's rainin', rainin' (Just singin' in the rain)
Baby, come here to me (What a glorious feeling)
Come here to me (And I'm happy again)
It's rainin', rainin' (I'm laughing at cluods)
Ooh, baby it's rainin', rainin' (So dark, up above)
Baby, come here to me (The sun's in my heart)
And I'm ready for love
My umbrella, my umbrella
My umbrella, my umbrella
The song "Singing In The Rain / Umbrella" is a mashup of two different songs by two different artists. The first half of the song features the classic song "Singing In The Rain" by Gene Kelly, and the second half features Rihanna's "Umbrella." The opening of the song features Gwyneth Paltrow introducing the performance and encouraging them to perform. The lyrics are written in an ensemble format, with various voices interjecting into the song to show support for the main singer.
The lyrics of the song speak to the power of a supportive relationship, and how love can help weather any storm. The line "you have my heart and we'll never be worlds apart" shows a deep level of commitment and devotion to the person being addressed. The verse "When the world has dealt its cards, if the hand is hard, together we'll mend your heart" showcases the idea that even through the struggle of life, love can provide a source of strength to pull through hard times.

Ian Anderson I think what you wrote above is very nice, I like your thought. not many 18 yo people who appreciate classical music.
I'm here not to confront you or take you to a long useless debates that'll piss off us both.
however, I have different opinion regarding creativity. mashing up two song about raining is creative. it's hard to find two songs with same theme that coincidentally have same rhythms and are likely to be blended/mashed. but these two was mashed up successfully, without loosing their charms and beauty.
who would know that Kelly had fever while doing the raining scene? do we know Paltrow was in bad mood and Morrison was having a bad day while doing the same scene? it doesn't bother me at all.
I salute Kelly for what he's done. but new technology is never meant to ruin the beauty of the songs. and that's what they've done to these songs.
thanks

Mr Shue is great with Emma, but he and Miss Holly really did have chemistry

Keira Aisha Argo I kinda wanted Will and Holly to end up together (in season 6). Because they had such good chemistry
