Glenn Frey Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

No complaints and no regrets
I still believe in chasing dreams and placing bets
And I have learned that all you give is all you get
So give it all you've got

I had my share, I drank my fill
And even though I'm satisfied, I'm hungry still
To see what's down another road, beyond a hill
And do it all again

So here's to life
And every joy it brings
So here's to life
To dreamers and their dreams

Funny how the time just flies
How love can go from warm hellos to sad goodbyes
And leave you with the memories you've memorized
To keep your winters warm

But there's no yes in yesterday
And who knows what tomorrow brings, or takes away
As long as I'm still in the game, I want to play
For laughs, for life, for love

So here's to life
And every joy it brings
Here's to life
To dreamers and their dreams

May all your storms be weathered
And all that's good get better
Here's to life
Here's to love
And here's to you

May all your storms be weathered
And all that's good get better
Here's to life

Here's to love
And here's to you

Overall Meaning

In Glenn Frey's song Here's To Life, the lyrics express a profound appreciation for life and all that it brings, both the good and the bad. The opening lines, "No complaints and no regrets, I still believe in chasing dreams and placing bets," suggest a positive attitude towards life, even in the face of disappointment and setbacks. The idea that "all you give is all you get" reinforces this sentiment, as it encourages the listener to live life to the fullest and give everything they have.

The second part of the song reflects on the past and the memories that we hold onto. The lines "Funny how the time just flies, how love can go from warm hellos to sad goodbyes, and leave you with the memories you've memorized to keep your winters warm," suggest that there will always be moments in life that leave us with bittersweet memories. However, the final lines of the song emphasize the importance of living in the present moment and enjoying life to the fullest. "As long as I'm still in the game, I want to play, for laughs, for life, for love," is a powerful reminder to appreciate the time that we have and make the most of it.

Overall, Glenn Frey's Here's To Life is a touching tribute to the ups and downs of life. It is a reminder to appreciate the good times, learn from the bad times, and above all, make the most of the time that we have.

Breaking the silence
Know oneself an understand the land an universe thee is harvest from and constitute itself with. For principles keep us together an united, whom defends the land of the whole hearted. Ordinary common traditions in masses and per pressure or forces, target the heart land to influence its practice, lobby and products, but confidence is in the principle of the soil, not forces whom are under them, power less to influence an wholly. That those who build them (forces), paint a pretty picture and boast the good it does and honors the bad who eat it and do, celebrating with the donated blood. Long speeches aren't loved by all ears, the rest is left for the silent to speak candidly, freeing the animal, as many questions solve an answer.

Remember when a soundtrack would get you hyped for a movie?

@johnnyvee20

I stumbled upon the Mid90s playlist on Spotify before I knew about the movie. Was so hyped to watch it after hearing the soundtrack.
